What I love most about photography is the opportunity to capture authentic, raw emotion while meeting interesting and adventurous people. There is truly nothing like it. Add a little amazing natural light and you’re on your way to some beautiful photography.
I’ve been capturing weddings, family lifestyle photography and casual portraits for more than a couple decades now working primarily in the Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Napa, and San Francisco Bay areas, as well as all along the coastlines around San Diego and Coronado and everywhere in between.

Alec Jolly- graduates from Ponderosa with the Class of 2025
A few years back I had the pleasure of photographing Alec’s sister, Ally. This time around it was for Alec, the youngest of Avis and Andy. As my friends and clientele know, I’m a music lover. Cate and Mike meet on Southwest
As some lucky people do (https://people.com/home/1-50-people-find-love-airplane/), Catherine and Mike met on a Southwest flight on a winter day leaving Denver. Mike had lost his wife two years earlier and Cate was newly single. Mike had a low boarding number and ended up in the very back of the plane in the middle seat next to Catherine. Cate was returning to Sacramento on a work trip as Mike was headed to visit a friend in Coeur d’Alene; he chose the long route with a stop in Sac so he could politely arrive right when the friend got off work.
