What I love most about photography is the opportunity to capture authentic, raw emotion while meeting interesting and adventurous people. There is truly nothing like it. Add a little amazing natural light and you’re on your way to some beautiful photography.

I’ve been capturing weddings, family lifestyle photography and casual portraits for more than a couple decades now working primarily in the Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Napa, and San Francisco Bay areas, as well as all along the coastlines around San Diego and Coronado and everywhere in between.

Thank you so much for visiting my website and taking a few minutes to look at some of my photographs. I’ve been photographing weddings, families, milestones, and events for over 20 years. I know secret and beautiful photography shoot locations around Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Napa, the San Francisco Bay area, and the California coastline from Point Reyes down to San Diego and Coronado.

Madison and Hailey’s Mini Session

I love these two (well 4, maybe 5, I guess) and am grateful for our annual sessions. I met up with Madison, Hailey, Willy and Wildfire…oh, and Ace, Madison’s steer, last week at their place. We planned for a mini session which for me is about 30 minutes. We rescheduled a few times due to the weather which I am always happy to do. Look at them, they are so grown up now! Look at how cute they are here: https://www.lisarichmondphotography.com/blog/madison-hailey-2-horses-and-a-monkey/ Growing like weeds. Happy Holidays to you all and thank you- enjoy your photographs. Karina and Colin- Marry someone who makes you laugh

Karina and Colin met while working together on the Camp Fire in Paradise, CA in 2018. They say tragedies can bring people together and after spending such an emotional time on this fire, helping so many, they decided they had found love in the storm. Traveling is one of their shared passions and when they travel, they enjoy anchoring in one location and spending weeks at a time exploring the area. While in Mexico on a recent trip, they adopted a pup- whose given name was Bear. Feeling like their Mexican perro needed a Spanish name, they swapped for the

The Seelos Extended Family

I love a family that rallies and the Seelos family was no exception. As it is with most family sessions around the holidays, there isn’t much option for rescheduling around the weather with so many schedules and traveling distances involved. Becky knew she wanted to capture these moments in time and she rallied her crew together on her father’s property. As we all know, these moments pass by so quickly and it’s important to capture them exactly as they are….maybe a little wet, a little cold, a little tired and for little Parker, just a wee bit hungry. A great
