What I love most about photography is the opportunity to capture authentic, raw emotion while meeting interesting and adventurous people. There is truly nothing like it. Add a little amazing natural light and you’re on your way to some beautiful photography.
I’ve been capturing weddings, family lifestyle photography and casual portraits for more than a couple decades now working primarily in the Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Napa, and San Francisco Bay areas, as well as all along the coastlines around San Diego and Coronado and everywhere in between.

Noah Kido-Batkin – Senior Session
Noah is the kind of senior who makes the future feel calm instead of loud. This spring, he graduates from Mountainside Middle College High School in Diamond Springs with a brain wired for math and science, hands that love building Legos, and a creative streak that shows up in art and colored pencils. Phoebe and Jake – Fantasy Forest Engagement
A Setting Straight Out of a Fairytale Phoebe and Jake embraced a Ren Faire aesthetic for their engagement session with flowing fabrics, earthy tones, and subtle medieval details. Soft gowns, textured layers, leather accents, and boots grounded the look in realism while still allowing it to feel whimsical and timeless. The forest provided the perfect backdrop for this fantasy-inspired engagement session. Moss-covered logs, winding paths, and patches of dappled sunlight created natural stages for quiet moments and sweeping romance. Congratulations to Phoebe and Jake, who will exchange their vows this November at Newcastle Gardens.

One of my end-of-fall sessions took place at my favorite private location in Camino—one that absolutely sings when autumn hits its peak. The colors this time of year never disappoint, and they created the perfect backdrop for a session. I’ve been photographing Tom’s son, Graydon since the day he was born—literally—which makes every session with him extra special.
