Aalijah, Pacific Crest Academy

Aalijah graduates this spring from Pacific Crest Academy with the Class of 2025. I enjoyed getting to know him and his mom, Sarahkay as we moved through the fall wonderland I have access to up in Camino. It’s a spectacular and private location- you’ll love it too. It took me a bit to gain Aalijah’s trust and dig into some expressions that weren’t planned. He’s got a great smile but you had to find the real ones through his politeness. I enjoy that. Aalijah came to me through a local referral, the Coggiolas. He plans to study biology and business

Isn’t she just the cutest? I met up with this wonderful Sacramento family at the Charles C Jensen Botanical Gardens in Carmichael. Sarah was celebrating her first birthday and her parents, wanted to capture this milestone. She is clearly adored and her smile melted my heart. Women’s March, Sacramento GOTV

Yesterday I photographed the Women’s March GOTV Rally in Sacramento. It was a peaceful event on the west steps of the Capitol full of women and men, young and old, who all felt the urgency to DO SOMETHING. Like those who have paved the way for my own rights, I felt compelled to continue to pave the way for my daughters’ rights and their future. It’s inconceivable they might have fewer rights than my mother or me. There were other protesters adjacent to the rally.
