Ahhhh, the last of the three Harrison kids. What an honor to capture these times for Grace, Jack and now Zane and his euphonium. Zane’s a lover of making music and is looking to double major in accounting and music. He is in the marching band, jazz band, concert and honor bands….it’s a wonder we even found time to get him out to the Zinnia’s and gorgeous fall colors for his Apple Hill Senior session. Zane graduates this spring from Union Mine High School.
But, that’s not all…he also runs cross country and plays golf. He enjoys time with his friends, eating out and playing online games together. As a lover of music myself and previous owner and engineer at a recording studio in Emeryville in my 20’s, I love to ask graduating seniors who their favorite artists are. His favorites are Kendrick Lamar and Tyler the Creator- I’ll add those to my Spotify playlist. When asked about his high school experience he said, “In high school, I did as much fun stuff as I could and made the most of each day. Participating fully in the music program gave me a newfound passion and revealed a talent. Cross-country and golf enabled me to grow mentally and physically. I made great friendships in all these activities that I’m sure will last my whole life.” What a thoughtful response. His advice for incoming high schoolers? “Do as much stuff as you can and learn to be busy”. Seems like he’s living by his own advice. Best of luck to you Zane. I know you’ll make the most of whatever is next for you.
