The Gray Family.
There are many kind people in this town that I have called home for over 17 years, and the Gray family definitely comes in at the top of that list. Melinda is a dear (forever) friend and her heart explodes with endless energy and compassion for others. She’s always there for you, and for anyone, really. I’m not sure how she squeezes in all the life she does, into her own, but she does. She’s an amazingly beautiful friend, inside, outside and all around.
Lance and Melinda are raising equally amazing kids and I’ve known Jack, Catie, and Nate since our current sophomores’ in high school were in kindergarten. Our kids have basically grown up along side each other and to get to capture them in this stage of their lives was so rewarding. It all just comes back around at you… history, time – right there in front of your camera and you realize how quickly it has all changed and more so, how quickly it is changing.
I’m not sure there is anything I enjoy more….(ok, other than a tropical vacation, maybe) than capturing memories like this for the families that I get to work with year after year. It’s a broad range of captures trying to get at the spirit of each of them individually, their connections to each other and their love as a family, and even their abounding goofiness, all in 90 minutes. Their smiles and warmth truly make me smile. Merry Christmas Gray family! Your gallery will be up soon…these are some of my favorites.
I think “love and sword fights” might be my favorite!
