It was super fun to get together with the O’Neil family, with Jackson next up to graduate and Hunter back in town from the UK. We spent a lot of time laughing and joking and their family has a casual ease with each other which makes it easy to keep things loose and playful. Instead of just a senior session we did a family session but concentrated on, and celebrated Jackson. Jackson is graduating early. I discovered quickly that I could not move the jumping obstacles to where I wanted them …sigh. I kept sending him back for another loop. He didn’t care. He was stoked that his senior session turned into a photo session showcasing his motocross passion.

You studied, you tested, you worked hard for years, and the time is officially here! It’s time to start thinking about senior photographs and I’m eager to collaborate with you to create photographs that you love. As a photographer, I want to make sure you are comfortable and having fun during your session.

He is in the marching band, jazz band, concert and honor bands….it’s a wonder we even found time to get him out to the Zinnia’s and gorgeous fall colors for his Apple Hill Senior session.

Hollyn and Linden attend Union Mine High School and will graduate this May. They both teach swimming and laughed in unison when they told me they always smell like chlorine.

After graduation, he plans to continue studying Drama and will be focusing on lighting design which he hopes to have a career in after college. His first choice for schools is Southern Oregon University because he likes Ashland and SOU has a great theatre program.

Fast forward to 2021- and there I was photographing the graduating Jessica at Sly Park Lake just an hour or so before homecoming began at Union Mine. Right? Why not schedule a session when you’re all dolled up ready to roll?

On a very cold and gusty day, we headed out to photograph the most lovely Hailey, at Sly Park Lake. Wow! That smile, those eyes and effortless connection with the camera made it pretty easy to ignore the chill.  In addition to her natural beauty, what really struck me was Hailey’s kind and sweet spirit. You felt her kindness being around her. And, what a trooper she was! I kept saying, “Put on your coat- stay warm” between locations. I’m sure glad she brought a hat as it helped to keep her amazing head of hair from blowing away. Photographing…
