  • And then there were five… This was my third time out to the Monsma home to celebrate their new addition – and by that I mean the adorable Baby Nash (not the master bedroom with the fabulous light that they added on between Elliott and Grady’s births). There is something so lovely about a December baby and the warmth of a Christmastime home. They just go well together. I loved getting to reconnect with Christy, Quinn, and the kids. Without a doubt, these early days are super tiring for mom and dad- not to mention taking care of the needs…

  •   Look at this little whipper snapper- and at just three weeks Jack is already stretching his legs and ready to take on the world! Jack Banks Heacock is the precious first child of Rebekah and Nathan. He is also the grandson of a dear old friend of mine, Miss Ruthie of Emigrant Trail Pre School fame where my oldest daughter attended (who now, btw is applying to colleges :0). Jack is also the grandson of Miss Rhodes (Nathan’s mom), who taught my kids to play the piano. Crazy. And so the story goes…and it’s a great one. Miss Ruthie’s…

  • Miss Elliott arrived to her adoring parents Christy and Quinn about ten days early so we quickly rescheduled her newborn session for when she was about 6 days old. With a lovely new home decorated for Christmas and a nursery (mostly) ready, Miss Elliott came home to meet her doggie siblings, Roxie, Arnie and Charlie. As it is with a newborn, you never really know what to expect with a newborn session. It is most often a “go with the flow” type of session. I tend to schedule these appointments fairly loosely in order to allow for “whatever” to happen,…

  • Lots of love and congratulations to Adam and Ashley who welcomed their first child, Braxton Adam Wells early on April 30. I am so thrilled for them and for their new life adventure. After getting to capture Adam and Ashley, together at the lake, just shy of two weeks before Braxton’s delivery and also Ashley in a beautiful sunset maternity session,  I already know they are becoming amazing parents. Love you all! Can’t wait to meet him.

  • A lifestyle session captures your family just as your family is. It is about letting go and just being yourselves–unscripted. It is about capturing images that are real and not perfect. AND it is just about the easiest way to roll when you have a newborn and a three-year-old…perhaps the only way to roll. This session was about welcoming Baby Freya into her new home. After capturing big brother Finn’s first year, I couldn’t be happier to get to document their growing family, their love for life, and for each other.  I have been photographing this family for years (actually before they…

  • I adore this family! I have been photographing them for several years, dating back to 2006 when I shot Tony and Tara’s engagement photos. My how their family has grown, starting with their daughter Zoe (check out this great “Then and Now” blog post from Zoe’s first birthday) and then baby Wyatt (who is now no longer a baby), and now their newest addition to the family, Gage. Although I have fun with all my clients, there are just some families you “click” with; there is a level of comfort and easiness that flows both ways and I am lucky…

  • These images were made just three days after Baby Graydon’s birth which I had the honor of attending and photographing. New, newborn photography is so precious. New parents are so priceless. I remember the adventure and it’s fun to witness through the eyes of a rested mom(more rested anyway). I’m getting to shoot so many babies and families these days- I guess that’s what happens when many of your clients are from weddings. Tom and Bethany are gems as I imagine their new son Graydon will be too- he already is… This one cracks me up! I love this one,…

  • Much love and congratulations to some of my favorite wedding clients, John and Elisha on the birth of their new daughter, Teagan. After photographing their awesome Fausel Ranch wedding a couple years ago, I hooked up with them again at Alex and Matt’s Fausel Ranch wedding this past summer. Both John and Lish were in the wedding party and Lish was due any day- in fact, I think it was only a week after the wedding that she gave birth! It’s always an honor to get the call for baby and family photographs from past clients. It’s a part of…

  • I first met Ross and Kristy several years ago for their engagement session. I loved getting to work with them and their daughter Kiki both for their engagement session and their wedding, and have since become friends. Ross has become my go-to tech guy over the years, and has even become a bit of a photographer himself (though he’d never admit it). He even helped me with my most recent workshop and has become a moderator of sorts on my Workshop Facebook Group. Recently- we were invited to go see Kiki play a soccer game and my daughters were very…
