He is in the marching band, jazz band, concert and honor bands….it’s a wonder we even found time to get him out to the Zinnia’s and gorgeous fall colors for his Apple Hill Senior session.

G.E.T.T.O. an acronym that she learned from summer camp- “give everything to every opportunity”.  She expresses, “Oftentimes we have the mindset that we “have to” do things in high school rather than “get to”… remembering the acronym allows us to be present and grateful for each moment and take each opportunity that four years in high school provide us.”

Of course, this Cal Poly Environmental Science major (to be) can easily become “one” with these beautiful branches of an old fallen tree in a field of late afternoon light. What fun it was connecting with the Roberts family again, this time for Liam’s senior photographs. Back in 2019 I photographed his sister, Phoebe. Liam was just as photogenic and charming. He brought with him a water polo ball and a carefree, super positive attitude. His smile and laugh float comfortably alongside his easy-going personality. While admittedly a little nervous about all the changes next year, I have no doubt that he’ll settle right into college life. It’s that time of the year again. Spring is here and with it brings the Class of 2022- this time, it’s Kayla who is excited about graduation. A little nervous at first, to be in front of the camera, like many…but about 20 minutes in we had our rhythm dialed in and I saw the moment she started relaxing and having fun with it. I was supposed to meet up with Ally sometime during the height of the Caldor Fire in our area but with my two-week mandatory evacuation and Ally’s moms work with the El Dorado Foundation raising and distributing money through the Caldor Fire Fund to people in need, we thought a postponement was in order.

I love these BFF sessions. They are always super casual and the interactions between friends are fun to capture. Molly and Abigail have known each other forever. They are cousins and were raised together. Their moms are sisters and so are they, basically. Both are seniors this year at Ponderosa and will graduate with the Class of ’21. Both played on the volleyball team. This fall, Abby is heading off to Chatt State and Molly to boot camp, to join the Navy. You know they are going to miss each other. Y’all are beautiful. Emma and Marcus, born on the same date, and graduating from Ponderosa High School on the same date too! What a treat to not only get to capture the personalities of each of these dynamic, personable and intelligent kids but also their personalities and connection, together, as bother and sister, as twins.
