  • For my first shoot of the year I picked up my assistant Cassie and we headed down to San Francisco for the weekend. We met Emily and Shannon near their apartment in the Mission. Up until a couple days before the session, it was set to be a fabulous and sunny San Francisco afternoon. I had envisioned the sun casting its late light on the SF skyline. This was what I was counting on until my husband hollered down from his laptop that morning….”You know it’s going to be dumping rain in SF, don’t you?”. Well, no I didn’t, until…

  • Yesterday, about 30 minutes before I was to leave for a wedding at Wedgewood Sequoia- I get a call from a VERY upset bride. She seemed inconsolable. You see, her hair and make up person botched the job, left to go out to her car, said she was going to be back, never came back and took my brides money. This was about 3 hours before her ceremony was to start. After assuring and reassuring her that all was going to be ok-I’d make it work in any way I could, I got on the phone with Kristina at Waterfall…

  • Love was in the air at David Girard for Jenn and Danny, and it was easy to tell why.  These two are beautiful together and how could you not love that? Their wedding was perfect; all the special touches that were put into this day were amazing. From the golf pendant Jenn added to Dan’s boutonniere to the releasing of the doves at the ceremony.  Jenn even had a clever way in which the guests were excused for dinner.  There was not a detail missed! The day started out at the River Rock Cottage in Lotus photographing the bride with…

  • I had fun with Bill and Stephanie from the moment I met them. Photographing them is like a playful jam in which the banter back and forth becomes part of the capture-freestyle. Their gorgeous wedding was set in Stephanie’s parents’ backyard and thanks to Bill and his “now” father in law who put in so many hours adding koi ponds, pavers and landscaping to prepare for the big day. After the dance floor was installed over the pool we were set to go! Bill of course gave me his signature pose -both arms up in the air- like he won…

  • My assistant Amy’s big day was finally here! We had prepped for this day for months… We started with a flirty session with the bride and followed it up with the groom doing back flips off of the diving board. Typical? Well, maybe. They rented a large home in the Newcastle area(Green Hill Ranch) so that they could all stay at the same location and spend the day getting prepared. Some of the family enjoyed the morning reading books on the big, historic front porch. At around 3pm we headed over to Newcastle Wedding Gardens. The wedding was a beautiful…

  • Allison and Craig enjoyed their beautiful early afternoon wedding at Bella Vista Bed and Breakfast in Coloma. It was a gorgeous and very warm day with a sit down lunch on the deck with close friends and family overlooking the Coloma canyon. Allison’s dress traveled from Nevada to England (where the couple live) to California for the big day! Craig loves cars and rented the finest Mercedes they would give him, for their big day. Congratulations Allison and Craig.   Assistant: Jerri Nokes | Venue:  Bella Vista Bed & Breakfast

  • After Aundrea and Scott met, he wanted to see her again so he planned an evening out with their mutual friends. For some reason all of their friends had to cancel.  It is still a mystery to this day as to why they all cancelled that night. Gotta have friends… Aundrea wanted a relaxing wedding day at Wine and Roses in Lodi and it was a success, from getting ready in their awesome room with lots of friends to the guys spending the morning in the pool. It was a beautiful day with a light breeze, moving the ribbons in…

  • Kim and Sean love anything outdoors so Truckee, with its proximity to many gorgeous locations, was the perfect location choice for them. From their family Donner vacation home to the Assumption Catholic Church, to Donner Lake and then to Tahoe Donner Lodge- we pretty much hit it all! So many beautiful moments at this wedding. Clearly Kim and Sean have found each other. Many thanks to friend and fabulous photographer, Jaime Emery from Rose Street, for 2nd shooting with me!
