  • Alright, so maybe we were just a little scared a stampede of bulls were going to come charging over the hillside-it wouldn’t be the first time I survived a stampede– but the big blue sky and the white rocks (behind) the barbed wired fence on the hill were calling my name and Kim, Vern, Cassie and I were ready to check it out. Kim and Vern are a fun loving and sweet couple- can’t wait for their wedding at the Sequoia in May! Here is your slideshow~ enjoy!

  • Spring weather and the arrival of daylight savings time means to me that my season is again beginning. After a couple months of mostly working on my new website(to be released soon-yippee), wedding albums from 2009, well, and a little skiing too, it felt great to be back in the saddle and shooting again. What better place than the beautiful Sand Harbor in Lake Tahoe to meet John and Mandi for the first time. John was a gazelle as he jumped from rock to rock and Mandi was certain to not be outdone in her skirt and boots…and she wasn’t!…

  • I love these guys! They are so cool and so kind (a little quirky…not that there is anything wrong with that) and their band is comprised of talented musicians! My good friend Dottie introduced me to them at a party last year where they were playing and then we had them play our party this past summer- see here. I also did a photo session with them this past fall. It has been great getting to know them better over the year. What a wonderful day not only getting to see the band lay down some awesome tracks for their…

  • Real Weddings is a Sacramento based magazine that has featured two of my weddings. The Issue that is out right now (Winter 2010) has an editorial about Nicole & Treb’s wedding – a couple whom I photographed at the Citizen Hotel in Sacramento this summer where their wedding was held. Here is a link to their online article which includes more photographs. Go grab a magazine and check it out !

  • My extended family has a beautiful farm up on the Umpqua River in Oregon. We don’t get up there as much as we’d like mostly due to the amount of travel time it takes to get there and back. I wish it was about 4 hours away instead of 8-10 hours- we’d go up all the time! My uncles Tommy and Chris and their wives Cherry and Michelle live on the farm and take care of it on a day to day basis. In order to get to it you have to cross the Umpqua River (best not to arrive…

  • Earlier this year I was introduced to girleffect.org by an old college friend of mine on Facebook. This was about at the same time that I was deciding which charity my business was going to “give back to” this year. I was immediately captivated by not only the cause and how much sense this approach to action made to me, but also by the creativity of the ad designers – very powerful – check it out – see for yourself. While thinking about it I imagined my two daughters, each with so many ideas and aspirations.  The thought that in…

  • Nicole & Keith are getting married in Rhode Island this summer and wanted me to shoot some personal engagement photos for them. We shot at Keith’s family’s farm in El Dorado Hills – it is a beautiful property! Lots of unique buildings, tractors, and old machinery. Cassie and I had alot of fun with Nicole, Keith and their 14 year old dog Mason in the late afternoon sun! Enjoy and Happy Holidays- You can view your slideshow here !

  • Carissa and Nick got married on a brisk day just before winter hit “full on” in Pollock Pines. They chose the Sierra Springs Clubhouse for their celebration and surrounded themselves with family and friends. What a beautiful location! Stunning trees, fields, fall colors…. I started shooting just before the ceremony and was able to capture Nick and the groomsmen as well as Carissa walking up the path outside with her dad. Carissa and Nick enjoyed a quick taste of champagne outside alone after their ceremony before rushing inside due to the brisk weather. The shooting continued through the first dance…

  • This year my friend Kristi (Shotgun Photography) and I photographed each others family for holiday photographs. Here are the photos I took of her family last week at Boeger…What I can’t get over is last week it was fall…and now this week it is full blown winter. If any of you know Kristi, she is such a generous soul and a fantastic mom to boot! I think my daughter Ember would like to marry her son Nick some day but I hear there is a line! Enjoy girlfriend ~ no crying…ok?
