You may remember these two from this post last fall at the river. After the shoot they decided they wanted a guest book for their wedding. We decided to head downtown for an urban vibe shoot to compliment the river shoot and to make the guest book even more playful and full of life, like they are. Here’s the fun we had! These two are a great couple and I’m looking forward to their winter wedding in downtown Sacramento.

I was so excited when Cherise and Chris chose me to document their 3-day camping wedding in Los Gatos. The whole weekend had an air of an intimate family reunion.  They started with a welcome party on Friday night as everyone was arriving. Great food (thanks Joshua Charles Catering) and laughter warmed the evening as everyone checked out what each other had written on the cool, custom designed response cards; it was the perfect way to start the weekend. Chip called me a few weeks ago- it seems his old friend and new sweetheart was going to be in town and it was important to him to capture the beginnings of their relationship. Chip and Shannon met at Chico State years ago and were instant friends. Both were involved in other relationships at the time but they confided in each other alot and gave each other advice. The reception tables were named after the things that join them ( single track, high places, and river play) and covered in beautiful wildflower arrangements. Their unique vows to each other included their desire for a family that loves the outdoors and adventure.

I met Cherise and Chris in Redwood City for their session. Cherise, a hairstylist, and Chris, who works at REI,  are such a fun and vibrant couple. We ended up having a blast at the playground where they got engaged and getting some great images that really show off how fun they are. John & Elisha exchanged their vows at the beautiful Fausel Ranch in Placerville on a warm day in July. Mandi & John love coming up to the mountains to ski & snowboard – so they had their wedding at Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe! I enjoy getting the opportunity to photograph in new locations and especially at the top of a mountain overlooking Lake Tahoe- I’ve got a great job! Mandi and John are easy going and clearly have surrounded themselves with folks who love and care about them.
