Todd and Linda were a first for me. They are looking to adopt a newborn to 5 year old in the near future, and needed some fun photographs taken of the two of them to use for their adoption profiles. Linda has grown children of her own, and now after 16 years of marriage, they want to become parents together. Kate and Evan are from Pollock Pines or at least have lived here for a long time. They met at Sly Park Lake working together. Their wedding gave a lot of local vendors a chance to get together and help to make their big day shine. Kate and Evan chose a first look at Bella Vista Bed and Breakfast, where they got ready. Elle is following in her parents footsteps and heading off to the University of Redlands in the fall. She plans on studying performing arts, and very confidently told me that she wants to become an actress. Her most recent appearance was in the stage production of High School Musical 2, and I am quite sure there will be many more productions to follow. Elle has a great smile and beautiful green eyes and a ton of energy to go with it- Watch out for Elle- she’s coming to a theater near you!

My friend Kelly and I have been talking about her daughter, Whitney’s, senior pictures for a while now and with spring in full bloom, it seemed like the perfect time.  Whitney is looking forward to starting college at Folsom Lake in the fall and then continuing on to a nursing program. Jane is getting ready to head to Berkeley in the fall, and her parents wanted to make sure that not only did we capture some memories of their daughter at this important time in her life, but also some photographs of her at her piano. I’m always a bit nervous going into a wedding having not done an engagement session, or worked with the couple prior to the wedding, but I have to say that all of that went out the window the moment I met up with Kate in her suite. Melissa and Eric are expecting little Joscilyn any day now. In fact, I just tried to call Melissa to see how she was doing and her mailbox was full… hmmm…..sounds suspicious- I can almost hear that first cry to the world! One of my favorite images is of a high school senior playing a drum(djembe) out in a field at sunset, long hair-a-flying! This was Megan’s brother Travis a few years back.
