  • Finally I was lucky enough to shoot the Wagner family!  With Jakob heading off to a new chapter of his life…High School…it seemed like a perfect time to capture some fun, family moments.  Larsen’s Park, and the springtime weather made for a wonderful backdrop.  I always enjoy getting to work with local families.  Thanks you guys – Enjoy your preview!  Your entire gallery should be up by Friday.

  • I had the privilege  of getting to spend over two hours with this baby girl last week. Little Miss Makena is just 8 days old here, and man is she sweet. Her name comes from the Hawaiian town where her parents were married. I could go on and on about how adorable this little one was, but instead I’ll let you decide for yourself. Looking forward to getting to see her again in the next few months. Congratulations Mom and Dad!

  • Taking advantage of this yo yo-ing weather, I headed out to Boeger Winery with my friend Summer and her family. I think it may have even snowed the day before and perhaps even the day after. But this was a beautiful fall day(other than the growth cycle at Boeger was clearly in winter mode). I had a great time as the Mulhollen family likes to have fun and if you know them, you know what I mean. With young kids, I like to keep my sessions moving from location to location to help keep expressions natural and fresh. I love…

  • What else is there to say about Nathan other than the fact that I am in love with those cheeks of his?  I’m honored to get to continue documenting the lives and loves of the Hayashi Family. Since their wedding several years back(actually, they just celebrated 3, I believe), we have become friends and share a mutual love of photography. We met up at Larsen’s park in Camino. Nathan was initially in a sleepy mood having just woken up from the car ride but then turned into a great mood, especially given the almost 2 hours that we were there…and…

  • I’m always flattered when a previous wedding client allows me the honor to attend their first birth or any birth for that matter. To me, it says alot about not only their comfortability with themselves but also the comfortability and trust that they have in me as an individual, as a photographer. I woke up the morning of December 3 to an email from Keith that said “Finn’s Coming”. After I spoke with him he said Tiffany was getting ready to push so I figured I would miss it as the hospital was an hour away. Jumped in the shower,…

  • I remember the call I got from Negar, a prospective client about 7 years ago. They had recently moved to the area and were looking for a photographer to capture their family memories. I remember I was cruising the back country roads on a gorgeous spring day between Chapel Hill, NC and Chatham, VA on my way to a shoot. I put my headset on and had a wonderful conversation getting to know the Jamali Family and what was important to them. I remember being a little surprised when she called back and hired me-I guess that is a natural…

  • Ahhh, lil’ Miss Allison brought along her awesome butterfly guitar to use for the shoot, and she even played us a few chords for us. The fall colors of the vineyard looked beautiful with the yellow dress that her mother brought along for her. Love a little girl, full of life, personality and music! The Keller family was the winner of the photo session gift certificate I donated for the Boatman Family community fundraiser we had up here last month. Your entire gallery will be posted tomorrow!!

  • I have a bunch of techniques that I use to get people to loosen up a bit and smile, but during this shoot Jeff, my husband, who was assisting me on this Tahoe shoot, utilized one that had honestly never crossed my mind before. Fortunately the camera was facing the direction of the clients or my white balance would have been really off….see if you can tell which image it is! I only instructed him to be witty and charming- I swear! We had a great family weekend with the Little’s getting away to Squaw- hiking, eating, tubbing and the…
