Lake Tahoe Child Photographer

I’ve known Mark and Barbara for quite some time now- from back in my bay area music days! In fact his good friends brother is married to my best friend’s, husband’s sister. Good luck following that! It was great to get out to their family reunion for a quick one hour, Lake Tahoe dock shoot. Here is the Jeffery Family- a moment in time….Enjoy! Your complete gallery will be up in a few days.  

Ahhh, lil’ Miss Allison brought along her awesome butterfly guitar to use for the shoot, and she even played us a few chords for us. The fall colors of the vineyard looked beautiful with the yellow dress that her mother brought along for her. Love a little girl, full of life, personality and music! The Keller family was the winner of the photo session gift certificate I donated for the Boatman Family community fundraiser we had up here last month. Your entire gallery will be posted tomorrow!!

I have a bunch of techniques that I use to get people to loosen up a bit and smile, but during this shoot Jeff, my husband, who was assisting me on this Tahoe shoot, utilized one that had honestly never crossed my mind before. Fortunately the camera was facing the direction of the clients or my white balance would have been really off….see if you can tell which image it is! Meet Zoe, who is now a one year old. This gorgeous album documents her first year, starting during Tara’s pregnancy and finishing with Zoe’s birthday. The photographic cover(first image below) also includes an image on the back from Tony and Tara’s 2007 wedding. This album was designed by Robin of Doodle Do who definitely has the magic touch for these designs. Tara’s “Baby Package” (3 shoots over baby’s first year and a year end album + an add on extra session) was purchased by several family members attending her baby shower and given to her growing family as a gift.…

Well, I can finally say I am done till 2011. Well, almost. Again, being “done” lately seems to rest on someone or something else- this time, Comcast. I would have been done yesterday except with this fabulous mountain living (I really do love it except for the inconvenient storms and effects), we lost our internet service again! As I sit here and wait for them to show up to fix it so that I can post these final images of the season, and get my family out the door to go skiing….I think that my husband is pacing… 🙂 ,…

Well, the last day of school has come and gone (again) and summer is now upon us. This year was bitter sweet as we wished many well who were retiring this year from Pinewood Elementary School. I arrived that day with the goal of documenting the last day of one teacher in particular, Charlie Ferris.  Charlie’s teaching career spanned 36 years, 24 of which were teaching kindergarten at Pinewood. It would be easy to underestimate Charlie with his calm demeanor, but as the saying goes: “still waters run deep”.  And it is a good thing given how many of us…

I photographed Ty and Tina’s wedding back in 2007 – and now look at them! A beautiful, happy, healthy, growing family. I absolutely adore Ty and Tina and their boys couldn’t be any cuter. These two are as in love as ever and it’s always so enjoyable to get to photograph seasoned, comfortable love. Aiden was so sweet in front of the camera… not shy at all.
