  • It was so wonderful to get to photograph Tom and Jillian’s senior photos celebrating their graduation from Oak Ridge High School. Tom is handsome with those gorgeous blue eyes and so sweet and kind. He loves all things computer games! Jillian-poised, with those deep brown eyes, beautiful hair and bright smile is also such a sweetie. She sang for me during the session having just returned with her choral group from performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City! Amazing.

  • True or false, I was at Jake’s birth? TRUE!!!!! It’s always true. Eighteen years ago I witnessed this super handsome, young man enter the world while my friend Danielle, mostly effortlessly, treated each contraction like a minor 1-minute inconvenience, pausing slightly before continuing where we were in conversation while Kris, Danielle’s husband ordered up a pizza…. •   Where does the time go? One thing for sure, I am able to mark the passing of another year by my annual Anderson Family session. Jessica recently shared with me this photo of their photo albums that they create with their print order every year and it was so lovely and flattering to see these beautiful treasures marking every year, holding a lifetime of memories. When we are on the other side of covid, Jess and I discussed a wine date so that we can look through all of the years together. I look forward to that. Their session…

  • David is bright, creative, friendly, curious and passionate about life. Working with him to make images that captured his love of life was a great day out in the late afternoon light at Sly Park Recreation Area. Be sure to get an early date scheduled this year for your senior session. Up here in the mountains, we usually have to work around the weather a bit. Booking earlier gives you the most flexibility with weather rescheduling and you’re still able to get your invites out on time. People schedule now for a March date…and then sessions spill over into April. Email…

  • Senior Photographs, Spring 2017 High school graduation: that incomparably magical time of life when one story ends and another begins. When the known security of childhood is still large in the rear mirror and yet the unknown but exciting future of adulthood is within grasp. That time when you’re so full of energy and life and hope and plans and dreams… and it’s all bursting through your very seams. There’s no way around it, this is a milestone that comes around only once. And, like all of life’s important moments, you’ll want to press pause for a moment to capture…
