I’ve photographed Jordan’s family over the years many times including weddings, pregnancy, birth, family….and now they are living in Belgium where Jordan will join them to attend University upon graduating from his high school in Sacramento and he can’t wait! It was super fun to get together with the O’Neil family, with Jackson next up to graduate and Hunter back in town from the UK. We spent a lot of time laughing and joking and their family has a casual ease with each other which makes it easy to keep things loose and playful. I feel old. Isn’t Paizlee still three years old? Well, she is not. She’s still beautiful and kind- just the adult version. In fact she graduates from ELDO this May after completing her senior year with online classes from ELDO. I love that this is offered for some students as everyone learns differently and sometimes the drama of a big high school isn’t the right thing. After just receiving her Cal Poly acceptance into their Biology program, I met up with Amelia and her mom Amy at the High Sierra Iris Garden in Camino. While not in the height of full bloom that those will enjoy this week, the splashes of color were gorgeous and created a vibrant backdrop. I discovered quickly that I could not move the jumping obstacles to where I wanted them …sigh. I kept sending him back for another loop. He didn’t care. He was stoked that his senior session turned into a photo session showcasing his motocross passion.

On the morning of the eclipse I write this post about Aidan, a future space engineer. Last week, we met up and tromped around through the woods off of Bass Lake Road to a favorite mountain biking spot that this Class of ’24  “graduate to be” wanted to share. While likely Cal Poly bound this fall to study Mechanical Engineering, his plans extend further to a Masters in Aerospace Engineering. It’s time to start thinking about senior photographs and I’m eager to collaborate with you to create photographs that you love. He is in the marching band, jazz band, concert and honor bands….it’s a wonder we even found time to get him out to the Zinnia’s and gorgeous fall colors for his Apple Hill Senior session.
