  • Finally I was lucky enough to shoot the Wagner family!  With Jakob heading off to a new chapter of his life…High School…it seemed like a perfect time to capture some fun, family moments.  Larsen’s Park, and the springtime weather made for a wonderful backdrop.  I always enjoy getting to work with local families.  Thanks you guys – Enjoy your preview!  Your entire gallery should be up by Friday.

  • Taking advantage of this yo yo-ing weather, I headed out to Boeger Winery with my friend Summer and her family. I think it may have even snowed the day before and perhaps even the day after. But this was a beautiful fall day(other than the growth cycle at Boeger was clearly in winter mode). I had a great time as the Mulhollen family likes to have fun and if you know them, you know what I mean. With young kids, I like to keep my sessions moving from location to location to help keep expressions natural and fresh. I love…

  • What else is there to say about Nathan other than the fact that I am in love with those cheeks of his?  I’m honored to get to continue documenting the lives and loves of the Hayashi Family. Since their wedding several years back(actually, they just celebrated 3, I believe), we have become friends and share a mutual love of photography. We met up at Larsen’s park in Camino. Nathan was initially in a sleepy mood having just woken up from the car ride but then turned into a great mood, especially given the almost 2 hours that we were there…and…

  • The other night on my way home from the Sugarloaf benefit, I had arranged to stop by one of my favorite wineries that I enjoy spending time at, in order to take some promotional photographs of a private event that they were having. Why is it one of my favorites? Well, a number of reasons- Jen and Brian are so down to earth and not only know how to make great wine, but almost as important, they know how to treat their clientele and understand how that completely ties in with having a successful business. In order to accommodate the…

  • I had a chance to again support the Sugarloaf Fine Arts Camp this year when my friend Nina asked me to photograph their annual fundraiser. People that attend the annual Sugarloaf Fine Arts Camp in Pollock Pines every summer are fun and creative people. That also goes for the folks that run and teach at the camp. That also goes for those that attend their annual fundraiser. It’s a great organization and I am proud to support them and the arts in our community. Sugarloaf provides classes for 6th grade through high school students in Concert Bands, Visual Arts, Theater…

  • …I don’t know, maybe about 7 years ago, I was pregnant with my second daughter Ember, while taking care of my 2.5 year old, Jaz. Most moms would agree that this 2nd pregnancy can be challenging due to the fatigue, compared with a first pregnancy, where you could just rest as desired. I had what most pleasantly refer to as first trimester “morning sickness”, only day and night for the duration of both of my pregnancies. Enter, Ruthie Blair, good friend and mom extraordinaire of Rebekah. I remember one particular day waking and feeling very sick fatigued and at the…

  • Todd and Linda were a first for me. They are looking to adopt a newborn to 5 year old in the near future, and needed some fun photographs taken of the two of them to use for their adoption profiles. Linda has grown children of her own, and now after 16 years of marriage, they want to become parents together. We started off at Boeger Winery in Placerville, and then ended the session at their house playing with the puppies that Linda breeds. Thank you Todd and Linda for choosing me to help you on this journey of yours, and…

  • Usually by the time an engagement session happens the wedding planning is well under way, and more often than not the couple has been engaged for several months. This was not the case with Nicole and Jeff. Nicole wanted some photographs of the two of them as a newly engaged couple, and I was more than happy to hang out with them for the afternoon. They’ve been together 6 years and just recently became engaged. Tank, their bulldog, came along for part of the session. He did a great job sitting in front of the camera, and became fast friends…

  • Kate and Evan are from Pollock Pines or at least have lived here for a long time. They met at Sly Park Lake working together. Their wedding gave a lot of local vendors a chance to get together and help to make their big day shine. Kate and Evan chose a first look at Bella Vista Bed and Breakfast, where they got ready. After their first look, they had the whole day to spend with each other. After many photographs in the wild flowers fields in Coloma, we headed to Sierra Banquet Center in Camino. Sue does such a fabulous…
