My friend Kelly and I have been talking about her daughter, Whitney’s, senior pictures for a while now and with spring in full bloom, it seemed like the perfect time.  Whitney is looking forward to starting college at Folsom Lake in the fall and then continuing on to a nursing program. Well, I can finally say I am done till 2011. Well, almost. Again, being “done” lately seems to rest on someone or something else- this time, Comcast. I would have been done yesterday except with this fabulous mountain living (I really do love it except for the inconvenient storms and effects), we lost our internet service again! As I sit here and wait for them to show up to fix it so that I can post these final images of the season, and get my family out the door to go skiing….I think that my husband is pacing… 🙂 ,…

After numerous days of rescheduling, I finally got to get out in what looks like may be the last sunny day of the year to photograph Jessica’s family. Dressed in holiday red, we strolled the vineyard capturing some sweet moments with her family. I thought Jess did a great job coordinating their clothes, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from her- she’s got a good eye for that! Anna and I met Macy and her mom and sister down at Boeger. Coming down from Pollock Pines, it’s amazing to me that it is still fall “down the hill”. Being from even further down the hill, they wanted an Apple Hill backdrop. Macy, a natural beauty with those ever changing blue/ green eyes was fun to shoot. Her mom wanted to get a few with her sister too so I photographed a few individuals while Macy was changing outfits. It’s always fun to photograph sisters. Congrats Macy on your upcoming graduation.

As I sit here at a friends home in Camino, using their power and internet connection, it is hard to believe that just last week was lovely fall weather. Kristina and her mother met me at Boeger for Kristina’s senior photograph shoot. Looking back, it was one of the last days of fall. I’m glad we got out when we did! It seems like I’ve been working at Boeger a lot these days, but I can’t think of a better place to have shot the Poole family. The light was beautiful, the family was full of fun, and there was lots of space for the little ones to run around and have fun. Michelle and Tim are a great couple. As a photographer, it is a great feeling you get when you see someone’s natural connection and ease with each other…AND you get to photograph them! This is them; easy going and open both to each other and to the “good time” wherever it may be. They are the kind who will find it, if it doesn’t find them first. This year my friend Kristi (Shotgun Photography) and I photographed each others family for holiday photographs. Here are the photos I took of her family last week at Boeger…What I can’t get over is last week it was fall…and now this week it is full blown winter. If any of you know Kristi, she is such a generous soul and a fantastic mom to boot! I think my daughter Ember would like to marry her son Nick some day but I hear there is a line! October is a big month for the Child family and their offspring. Diane and John Child celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary this week. They have four children Justin, Vanessa, Amy and Emily. I think that they all also celebrate their wedding anniversaries in October. I was fortunate to meet this super fun and kind family while photographing both Emily and Amy’s weddings over the years. Diane and John now also have 4 grandchildren all between the ages of 1 and 2. Their kids purchased them an “extended family session” last Christmas for a gift. Diane loves the fall so we…
