Beautiful Sofia. We had originally met at 24 Carrot Farm for their gorgeous flower backdrop but we got started a little late. Just as the last little bit of sun was tucking away over the hillside and Sofia drove in, we decided to split her session so we did half of it up at Sly Park Lake where the light lingers a little longer and then came back to 24 Carrot the next day, a little earlier for the flowers and some warm sunshine. It worked out great and I was happy to accommodate Sofia as her family have been great customers of mine–plus I knew that radiant smile of Sofia’s would sparkle against a little back-lit sunshine!
Sofia currently attends Visions in Education, Independent Study and will graduate in the spring of 2025. She is planning on going to FLC to get her early childhood and childhood development degrees, and she is thinking of transferring to Sac State for her teaching credential. Sofia loves working with kids and is currently employed at His Kids Christian Pre-School. Doing an independent study for high school has allowed more time and to get some real-life work experience in a field she loves.
When not studying or working, Sofia enjoys her family and friends and also going to concerts. Her favorite bands are Treaty Oak Revival, Cody Johnson, Megan Moroney and Lainey Wilson.
Her advice for incoming high schoolers is to “not let what others say or think about you affect you because it will just tear you down”. In ten years she hopes to be a preschool teacher, get married and buy some property to start her own family.
I had such a great time chasing the sunlight with Sofia. She is kind, sweet and has a big heart not to mention that it might be impossible to capture a bad photograph of her:) I’m glad her session turned into two because I got to spend a little more time with her lovely energy.
Best of luck to you Sofia! I can’t wait to hear about all the wonderful things you are doing with your life.
Shout out to 24 Carrot Farms- grab some of their mixed greens(and a cookie)- you’ll be happy you did!
