Robin and Troy- these two were destined to be. Having worked together years ago, they found their way back to each other through online dating and luckily they were both in a place to pursue a relationship.
Their wedding day came with a lot of rain – you know they say that “a wet knot is harder to untie than a dry knot”- but having been married in similar weather, that doesn’t hit with some amount of disappointment and feeling a little scattered with rapidly changing plans. It didn’t matter much once Robin switched gears- she was finally marrying her guy and nothing was going to take the smile off of her face- not even the rain. We did zip out briefly for some couple’s photos during a break in the storm…or was there a break? Ha- I’m not sure there was. These two kept laughing and smiling through it all.
Robin is a piano teacher so we had fun with some bridal portraits photography at the grand piano at the Serrano Country Club. The toasts were a big and emotional part of the day. Since Robin and Troy now share a very large family, the toasts were from lot’s of kids, grandkids, friends…you name it- they all had well wishes for the couple and many laughs and tears ensued. It was so warm to hear Robin and Troy’s children toast the new couple- all recognizing and solidifying what each had finally found. Not a dry eye.
After the wedding, they took a quick trip to Aptos to celebrate their marriage. Congratulations Robin and Troy!
