• Well, I can finally say I am done till 2011. Well, almost. Again, being “done” lately seems to rest on someone or something else- this time, Comcast. I would have been done yesterday except with this fabulous mountain living (I really do love it except for the inconvenient storms and effects), we lost our internet service again! As I sit here and wait for them to show up to fix it so that I can post these final images of the season, and get my family out the door to go skiing….I think that my husband is pacing… 🙂 ,…

  • After numerous days of rescheduling, I finally got to get out in what looks like may be the last sunny day of the year to photograph Jessica’s family. Dressed in holiday red, we strolled the vineyard capturing some sweet moments with her family. I thought Jess did a great job coordinating their clothes, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from her- she’s got a good eye for that! Merry Christmas Miller Family and thank you for the opportunity to do this for your family! Click here for a slide show from their session!

  • I thought these were worth posting. Enjoy! HOLIDAY EATING TIPS 1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they’re serving rum balls. 2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. It’s rare.. You cannot find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It’s not as if you’re going to turn into an eggnog-alcoholic or something. It’s a treat. Enjoy it. Have…

  • It’s not often that you get a family with 3 older boys that are okay spending an hour having their pictures taken. Spencer, Ethan, and Jared (aka Dude, Middle Man, and Little Man) seemed to enjoy themselves. I loved the “heart” of this family. They were just one of those families that was not only fun to be around, but seemed to enjoy each others company as well. Kudos Cheryl and Dennis. Thank you for having me!

  • Anna and I met Macy and her mom and sister down at Boeger. Coming down from Pollock Pines, it’s amazing to me that it is still fall “down the hill”. Being from even further down the hill, they wanted an Apple Hill backdrop. Macy, a natural beauty with those ever changing blue/ green eyes was fun to shoot. Her mom wanted to get a few with her sister too so I photographed a few individuals while Macy was changing outfits. It’s always fun to photograph sisters. Congrats Macy on your upcoming graduation.

  • Our family has known the Bartolos for many years now. Jeff and I often marvel at how lucky we have been to have had(and keep having) their daughters who are only a year or two apart each, to babysit our girls. First was Kalene, now is Samantha and hopefully Jacqueline will want to. We all laugh(on camping trips) that all of our friends have daughters, not sons. Funny. It looks like the trend(mostly) runs in the Bartolo families. When we originally planned this shoot (2 weeks earlier, in the fall…haha), we weren’t expecting all of the snow this early in…

  • I got a call from Starla a while back, to come photograph her family. She was brave enough to host 2o people for Thanksgiving and wanted me to come and grab a family shot while they were all together. I was surprised at how ‘with it’ they all seemed to be  (even with all of those little boys running around) and we were able to grab everything on the list of must have shots, and even had some time for some extras! I was so glad that I was able to capture Starla and her husband with their two dogs…

  • What a cutie and so full of life! Sue, Aiden’s grandma called me to document this milestone in his life. I love to photograph little ones exploring the world around them. Happy Birthday Aiden! I’ll have the rest of your proofs up early next week-

  • Who doesn’t like Melinda? She is fun, outgoing, owns a smile that will cheer up anyone on a bad day, personable, hard working, caring, dependable and a great mom to boot! When she called me with her idea of “Putting the Dress Back On”, (my spin on a “trash the dress” session), I was psyched! You see, as an artist, we are always looking for those sessions where we can be creative…you know, fly, be free…..dream it, do it! To get to work with Melinda made it that much more fun. She showed up to Sly Park Lake in her…

  • I’ve been working with the Anderson family for a good seven or eight years now- Jessica would remember:) . It was a challenge to figure out a location that they haven’t been to yet. We decided to trek down to Folsom, and shoot along the river for the evening. We spent most of the time just following the light, and the kids didn’t seem to mind being allowed to climb all over the rocks. We got some beautiful shots of the kids, and of the family. We decided to do a second mini session up at Boeger with Jessica in…

  • First of all I have to applaud Kim on her clothing choices for the family….I’m going to start having to give people her number if they want coordinating tips – in fact, I may call her to help out our family this year! Sly Park Lake made for a beautiful backdrop for these guys and was a nice change in location from Apple Hill. I’ve been working with The Eggertons since Reid was baby (and Captain Bubbles…but I digress), and I always love the energy they have as a family. I had a lot of fun trying to ‘capture the…

  • As I sit here at a friends home in Camino, using their power and internet connection, it is hard to believe that just last week was lovely fall weather. Kristina and her mother met me at Boeger for Kristina’s senior photograph shoot. Looking back, it was one of the last days of fall. I’m glad we got out when we did! Enjoy your blog teaser and slideshow, all of your proofs will be up soon! Here is your slideshow!
