• Darolyn and Martin exchanged their vows at Wine and Roses in Lodi. Bringing together family from all over the world, including Germany and Utah, they sealed the deal with emotion, humor and a fun and surprising first dance! Congratulations Darolyn and Martin. • After Aundrea and Scott met, he wanted to see her again so he planned an evening out with their mutual friends. For some reason all of their friends had to cancel.  It is still a mystery to this day as to why they all cancelled that night. Gotta have friends… Aundrea wanted a relaxing wedding day at Wine and Roses in Lodi and it was a success, from getting ready in their awesome room with lots of friends to the guys spending the morning in the pool. It was a beautiful day with a light breeze, moving the ribbons in…

  • Kim and Sean love anything outdoors so Truckee, with its proximity to many gorgeous locations, was the perfect location choice for them. From their family Donner vacation home to the Assumption Catholic Church, to Donner Lake and then to Tahoe Donner Lodge- we pretty much hit it all! So many beautiful moments at this wedding. Clearly Kim and Sean have found each other. Many thanks to friend and fabulous photographer, Jaime Emery from Rose Street, for 2nd shooting with me! • Well, our initial shoot got rained out, in Camino, in the summer…can you believe it? We met down in EDH a couple weeks later to capture this little lovely who is absolutely adored by her parents…can you tell ? Really, Makena is a complete doll and this was her 2nd of 3 shoots in her baby package. I’m sure before we know it she’ll be smashing that first birthday cake! Enjoy Kelly and Chase – the rest of her gallery will be posted earlier next week! (below) “What you talking ’bout Willis?”

  • Karen and Erin got married at High Sierra Iris and Wedding Gardens in mid August. I hadn’t shot at that location in awhile and there were some beautiful upgrades to the property including uplighting on the trees behind the dance floor and a cool little cabana for the bar. Surrounded by family and friends Karen and Erin exchanged their vows and started the celebration of their married lives together. With details everywhere expressing their love of the outdoors, they seemed to choose vendors who were the same. It was a great team to work with. The event was coordinated by…

  • These images were made just three days after Baby Graydon’s birth which I had the honor of attending and photographing. New, newborn photography is so precious. New parents are so priceless. I remember the adventure and it’s fun to witness through the eyes of a rested mom(more rested anyway). I’m getting to shoot so many babies and families these days- I guess that’s what happens when many of your clients are from weddings. Tom and Bethany are gems as I imagine their new son Graydon will be too- he already is… This one cracks me up! I love this one,…

  • Much love and congratulations to some of my favorite wedding clients, John and Elisha on the birth of their new daughter, Teagan. After photographing their awesome Fausel Ranch wedding a couple years ago, I hooked up with them again at Alex and Matt’s Fausel Ranch wedding this past summer. Both John and Lish were in the wedding party and Lish was due any day- in fact, I think it was only a week after the wedding that she gave birth! It’s always an honor to get the call for baby and family photographs from past clients. It’s a part of…

  • Thanks to the Stewart family for being in touch to let me know that they were going to be in town and wanted to have some new photographs since the birth of their daughter. We headed up country this time to Alder Creek since Coloma was so stinking hot. Amazingly enough, these river folk (with a son named River, even) had not ever been to that spot and have added it to their repertoire of river cool down locations. Be sure to scroll to the bottom to see what the Stewart family looked like in 2007. Peace you all and…

  • I’ve known Tom and Bethany since 2008 when we got together to do their pre wedding engagement session. We’ve been friends since and I was so happy to receive the call once Bethany’s pregnancy was official, that they wanted me to join them for the birth. Baby Graydon wasn’t expected to arrive until the end of August and as I tell my clients, I cannot schedule births in just the way they can’t schedule births. If I can be there I will be there. And it’s always such a joy to get the call that it is happening and that…

  • I had another great evening at Sly Park lake enjoying the wonderful light during an engagement session with Bill and Stephanie. They have been together for four years and are counting down the days/minutes to their all-day celebration at Stephanie’s parents home in Placerville. Bill and Stephanie are fun and fun with each other. Stephanie is super easy going and a natural beauty. When Bill is not helping to plan the wedding(ie construction at the Cutter home) he is out on the river on his jet ski. He has invited me to join him and his friends, to photograph them…

  • I woke up for a sunrise shoot for Amy and Ryan. Just sayin’. If you know me, this is rare. I am a night owl. I shoot the late afternoon light as much as I can. Since Amy and Ryan are a couple who are game for anything- I was too! This was the final of three Tahoe shoots I had that weekend and a great way to start the day(along with the cup of coffee I started the hike with:)  Since I usually shoot in the evening- it was bizarre to have the light increase as we went along…

  • I’ve known Mark and Barbara for quite some time now- from back in my bay area music days! In fact his good friends brother is married to my best friend’s, husband’s sister. Good luck following that! It was great to get out to their family reunion for a quick one hour, Lake Tahoe dock shoot. Here is the Jeffery Family- a moment in time….Enjoy! Your complete gallery will be up in a few days.
