• I met up with Alex, Matt, Brock and Ellie this year for some more pics…you know the kind where everyone gets to be in them. Trust me, as a photographer, I always joke that my husband and kids are very well documented 🙂 Actually, my husband has been pulling out his iPhone lately, takes a photo and says, “look, you’re on vacation too”. Brock is such a kind soul, helping and coaxing his little sister Ellie into photos. Such a great kid. And I know it doesn’t look like it but I worked hard to squeeze a smile or two…

  • September was locals’ month for me. Ryan and Stephanie’s wedding was the 2nd local-family wedding that I had in September and at a local venue, Shadowridge Ranch. I enjoy witnessing these milestones with people I know. It’s fun to have an insider perspective at a wedding. Over the past decade, I’ve photographed all three of the O’Rilley kids as they graduated from a high school senior to an adult. Here are Ryan’s senior pics, for fun. Just last year, I got a chance to meet Stephanie, Ryan’s girlfriend for the first time while photographing the whole family at the lake.…

  • I was happy to get a chance to meet up with the Fleming family again this year. Their family has grown by one since last year with the addition of cute, little Jackson. We met in Apple Hill at the beautiful Larsen’s Apple Barn Park in Camino. Georgia was one of my pre-schoolers when I photographed them at Pinetop Montessori. My daughter Ember who also loves kids, joined us on the session and Georgia connected with her right away. There is so much love in this family- such a pleasure to capture it! Thanks Diana and George!

  • Hello, nice to meet you.
We arrived as strangers at the home of Michelle and Robert at about 7pm, on the day the Caldor Fire evacuated Pollock Pines, though they certainly didn’t make us feel that way. We had spent most of the evacuation day slowly prepping which in 95726, means you’re lucky.

  • True or false, I was at Jake’s birth? TRUE!!!!! It’s always true. Eighteen years ago I witnessed this super handsome, young man enter the world while my friend Danielle, mostly effortlessly, treated each contraction like a minor 1-minute inconvenience, pausing slightly before continuing where we were in conversation while Kris, Danielle’s husband ordered up a pizza…. OK, if you know me, you know that this is a comment dripping in sarcasm and maybe a nudge of truth. Actually, truth is, I’ve been friends with Jake’s parents since our kids were infants…WAY back in the day. And to get back to…

  • Timing is everything and it seems Brittany and Derek Delfino have that pretty much dialed in. While news of the Caldor Fire has all of us in El Dorado County on a day to day, edge, it seemed like a good time to dig into the goodness of this day, July 3, 2021, the day that Brittany and Derek expressed their love to each other surrounded by clean air, an amazingly blue sky and the goodness of family and friends and a sunset like you’ve never seen. Perfectly nestled between the first Covid19 outbreak and subsequent vaccinations and the currently…

  • Nikki and Laura Sherley booked with me back in June 2019. They connected with my work and after a great phone call where we all connected with each other, I got to be a part of the Forever Shenanigans plan. With their wedding coming up in June 2020, we decided to meet up in February 2020 in Placerville, Nikki’s hometown and close to where I live, too. We spent some time getting to know each other over margaritas, and I got to learn more about what was important to them. Then, all (covid) hell broke loose just a few weeks…

  • I first met Alyse and Ryan at an engagement session in a lupine field in Folsom. Not a bad place to spend the early evening getting to know one another. In fact, highly recommended. The two of them are super easygoing and just about as kind as they come. Alyse’s mom, Elaine referred me to them and I was glad that they asked me to capture this milestone in their lives. This year I have photographed several weddings with many local families that I have some history with, either with their kids as seniors and/or friends of my kids or…

  • Well, I intended for this to be a sneak peek, but I had a hard time choosing just a few favorites so I landed at a blog post. Which are your top five favorites? There was SO MUCH love in the air, sprinkled with a handful of magical, to capture with my camera. The color of the late afternoon light washed over the event. I don’t know how to describe it- it was a large wedding that had that gentle feeling of a small, homespun but très élégante event– not too much, and just enough. Perhaps it was the community…
