• Back in October while I was running around the southwest in my teardrop trailer, one of my favorite people got married in a small ceremony, to her love, Trevin, before he left for duty in Italy. While I would have loved to have photographed the two of them, Trevin was already on his way overseas. I called Elise(who does that? I sent her an IG message) and she was game. Sweet! I was so happy to be creative with Elise, “the Bride” out in the bright colors of fall and the soft light of the afternoon. Plus, I love a…

  • When someone says, “What do you do for a living?” one might think that “Photography” would be my answer but lately, with all these seasonal family sessions I think more appropriately, “chasing kids” would be more descrip. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not alone in my chase, my assistant Ember, who kids love, works pretty hard on these sessions and certainly, mom and dad, too. Bottom line, I love lively kids that are full of spunk and will do whatever it takes to get the shot! A session with Gia and Jeff and their gorgeous, growing family is becoming…

  • It’s always an honor when a family asks me to photograph them and even more so when it’s semi-annually over the last two decades. Love the Littles!  Capturing families year after year is the most rewarding part of my job.  So, of course, I had to dig a little to find some photographs of Jack when he was younger. Look at that cute face! I’m sure I have some, somewhere when he was even younger. My husband and I moved to Pollock Pines when Jack was a toddler and it’s been fun watching him grow up the last two decades.…

  •   Recently I got together with the Rogers’ Family at Larsen’s Apple Barn Park in Camino. Michelle had suggested that most of her photos of her children were blurry as they were constantly in motion…and they are. She was hoping I’d have better luck capturing them. Capture them? Impossible… they WERE always in motion. While Michelle and Scott did some wrangling, I did enjoy creating some images that documented their family during these years.  I remember how busy these times were with my own two kids. Parents are working so hard and are so busy keeping it all together. When…

  • Lindey and Adam got engaged a few months ago at Razor Point on the Torrey Pines Trail in Southern California. While they are excited about planning their future wedding, they are currently focusing their energies on buying their first home together which as we all know in Northern California, isn’t a walk in the park. At least they got to enjoy this one.

  • This time of year I get asked about mini sessions. My version of a mini session is a 30-minute session, with the digital files included in the cost. For me, trying to squeeze in a line of families every 15-20 minutes, back to back, doesn’t allow me the time to allow something unique to happen. We can get alot done in 30 minutes…and I still feel like I’m moving quickly. Basically, I’ll take the connection with my customers any old day versus rushing people through. It’s the way I prefer to work. This was the second year I have photographed…

  • This is the 3rd time I have photographed the Heather family and every time I leave their family session, I’m smiling and my heart is happy. Ember helped me on this one and I know she felt the same way. The love these three have is beautiful and it puts me in a great mood. Paisley, I just can’t get enough of. She’s youthful, silly, present, kind and joyful…and many other things. Those eyes, that red hair and that big ol’ smile melt my heart every time. Thank you Megan and Robert for asking me to photograph your family. Clearly,…
