This gorgeous location in Camino is my favorite this time of year. You step out of your car, the sky is blue and the liquid ambers are magical! I loved getting out with the Edwards family who was gifted a gift certificate for this session. I’m sure it’s alot of hard work to get these little ones together and out the door, but their family made it seem easy to chase these cute little boys around.
Rylee graduates from Casa Roble High School this spring of 2023. I got to meet her and her mom, Kimberlee out at the beautiful Fausel Ranch in Placerville on a bit of a drizzly, winter day. While the rain held out for us, we were able to make use of the bridal suite for some lovely window light shots, while staying warm and dry too. Thanks to Deanna for always being so accommodating. Rylee has cheered for four years on Varsity at Casa Robles and she looks forward to returning to Florida for the National High School Cheer Championships to…
Little Miss Cutie pie is 6 months old. I got out with the whole family during the week at Apple Hill, including Dan’s parents too. The colors are always so warm and wonderful.
Cara and Justin were engaged for over three years having met on Match.com. With family ties to Lake Tahoe, they wanted to be married on the shore of the lake and chose Lakeside Beach in South Lake. Their reception was just up the road at South of North Brewing Company/Basecamp Hotel which was the first time I had been there. It was a cool venue that was sectioned off for the wedding and the bride and groom seating was right in front of a vintage Airstream. I loved that this brewery was just off the beaten path of a very…
Let’s be honest, most guys have no idea what to expect when their parent signs them up for a senior photography session. Most of the time I just confide with them that we are doing this for their parents– and it seems to take the pressure off. Now we are on the same team working to get some shots that mom will love and hopefully we did! We worked the area around Henningsen park and the beach/river area while warming up to each other and the process. Kian is super sweet and a little shy and like most male seniors,…
Back in January of this year I first met Erica and James at their engagement session. Due to James’ upcoming deployment to the Middle East, they decided to switch things up a bit. First was the elopement, then the courthouse wedding, then the engagement session, then the big celebration with all their family and friends and now a little extra bit of good news…their newest celebration- arriving in March of 2022. I arrived just before their first look and quickly met the fun crew they had joining them as their wedding party. The ceremony was out on the lawn and…
It was great to get out with Ella and Erika (and mama’s Natalie and Christine) who chose to share a senior session. I love these sessions and especially experiencing how good friends support each other. I’ve known Ella and Erika since they were in kindergarten as they played soccer with my youngest daughter, back in the day. I think my husband was an assistant coach with Erika’s dad. Anyway, it’s amazing that here they are, putting the finishing touches on high school and ready to jump into what is next. Ella is beautiful, with an amazing, bright smile that shines…

Oh, and we did! It was a special evening and Lake Tahoe had so much to give – I know we all left feeling grateful.
It took decades for the time to be right and this past August, the time was right. Nearly thirty years later, their connection was renewed. Dave and Pam met in high school and in fact there is even a photo of them at the dance in their high school yearbook. I love stories like this. It was joy all day long with these two. They wanted a chill day- they got one. They wanted to let go of the details and just be with each other and family and friends- celebrating their love. AND they did. These are the weddings…
I can tell you who liked being the center of attention, the singer from the awesome mariachi band that played both at the church and at the cocktail hour. They were sooo fun!
