When Megan contacted me about her upcoming marriage to Avery I was so excited. Not only for her, not only for Avery and not only for me (as I was obviously hoping to be asked to photograph the celebration). I was so excited for the joy that this occasion would no doubt be bringing her family, his family, their families. That made me happy.
I’ve been friends with the Byers family for years and got to capture both Megan’s and Travis’s high school senior photographs. It’s connections like these that make the experience of photographing a wedding that much more personal. I anticipate an amazing gathering brimming with warmth, community, happiness and love and I couldn’t be any more excited to capture all those wonderful and connected moments.
Megan and Avery wanted to do their engagement session in the fall colors of Pollock Pines- so off to the woods we went. Getting a chance to work with a couple prior to their wedding day gives us all so much information about each other. They get to know me and how I work (I’m sure they are experts on chasing the light now), and most importantly, I get to know how they are as a couple. Lots and lots of love there.
Get ready for some more big love coming this fall of 2020. Thanks Megan and Avery.
