What can I say about Matt and Alex’s wedding? This was day one of my ‘Fausel Ranch Extravaganza’ with Deanna of Fausel Ranch, Dottie of Camino Flower Shop, John of Old Town Grill, and I all working two weddings back to back. I’ve known both Matt and Alex for a few years now, and their wedding seemed like a giant reunion of past couples and families all there to celebrate the two of them. I had three past couples in attendance that day – John & Elisha, Matt & Gretchen, and Aaron & Ashley, along with many of the guests in attendance at each of their weddings.
Matt and Alex were such an easy couple to work with ( I love me some laid back brides!) I had them walking all over the ranch, and climbing up on things, etc, and not one worry about the dress! They even went off to Mexico for their honeymoon without a hotel lined up yet – love their sense of adventure. Their entire day was beautifully planned and centered around celebrating with friends and family. Congratulations Matt and Alex!
Big thank you to Michelle McDaid for second shooting that day- some beautiful captures for sure! I also wanted to make a quick mention of the fact that this was my last shoot with my assistant of 2 years, Anna. She is off to new adventures with her husband as a Navy Wife in Charleston, SC . Stay tuned for more on that! Ironically though, the first wedding she worked with me was John & Elisha’s who were not only in attendance that night, but whose wedding was also at Fausel Ranch.
