I met Mariah, Charlie and their son Wyatt over a year ago at a coffee shop in Camino. I really enjoyed them because they were real. I know that sounds trite but honesty and joy that shines through is so refreshing and so much fun to capture as a photographer. They were down to earth and excited about spending the rest of their lives together and being Wyatt’s parents. That day we decided it would be fun to work together so we made it official 🙂
A few months before their wedding, Mariah asked me if we could do a boudoir session. I had never photographed one before and let her know that it wasn’t necessarily my wheelhouse but that I was excited to experiment and explore it with her. Perhaps I was a little nervous too and I told her that. No need to be of course, Mariah has that amazing gift of making everyone feel comfortable even while she walked around in her lingerie. We giggled and laughed and played with the light and created a lovely and sensual gift for her to give to Charlie on their wedding day.
Mariah and Charlie chose the lovely Bluestone Meadows in Placerville, California for their wedding. Simple, laid back, and just like them. The kids loved the bumble bee train.
Here are a some of my favorites from the day. Thank you Mariah and Charlie for trusting my work and allowing me the freedom to capture you all as I saw it, all day long. Your gratitude for life and your passion for each other kept me having alot of fun!
Special thanks to David Taylor for assisting me that day and creating some beautiful images of his own. (like the one below)
love this one, David Taylor.
