Silverthorn Meadows in Camino

I first met Lindsey and Adam towards the end of 2021 when they were freshly engaged and looking for some photographs in the fall colors to celebrate. Adam had proposed to Lindsey at Torrey Pines on a morning hike in September.

In general engagements sessions are tied into a photography package but they had a list of items they wanted to accomplish including buying a home, before they began their wedding planning.

A year later they had bought their first home and their wedding plans were underway. They had chosen the stunning, Silverthorn Meadows just down the hill from where I live, to seal the deal and they had reached out to me to be their photographer and since they are some of the kindest people you’ll meet I was excited that we got to work together again.

The energy of their wedding day was positive all day long. Here’s the thing- when you’re kind, you often end up surrounded by kind people. Now, add in a beautiful wedding venue (one of the nicest around here), some fun vendors:) AND an unusually cool June day and you have yourself a celebration! They chose to do a first look so they could spend the rest of the day together. Lindsey and Adam are one of those couples that you just know should be together. They are supportive of each other, like to laugh, and enjoy each other’s company. Lindsey, who is a grade school teacher asked her students some questions about love and marriage and their answers will crack you up. (see below).

Lindsey and her father Alan stood at the top of the stairs overlooking the ceremony for a few moments to simply take it all in. I love that- what’s the rush? Soak it all up along with the significance of this moment. Meanwhile, the cute little ring boys, Nolan and Oliver had just stolen the show and had everyone laughing. In fact, they continued to do this all night long! Adam’s step-brother Conner eloquently led their ceremony in a way that only family or a family friend could do.

A delicious dinner was served by the kind folks at Hog Wild BBQ and Mike Regan from Mr DJ Services kept the whole evening in an easy flow with toasts from Best Man Donovan (with some interesting and funny cross-country stories about how they met), Matron of Honor Marissa and Father of the Bride, Alan. First dances and cake cutting followed (made by brother-in-law, Steven) and then to the dance party. By the time everyone arrived on the dance floor together, they were ready!

Adam and Lindsey took off for Costa Rica for their honeymoon to unwind from all the wedding planning. Anyone who plans a wedding knows exactly what I mean. I’m sure they enjoyed their time away just soaking up their amazing wedding day.

Congrats you two- here are some of my favorites from the day.

Lindsey and her father Alan stood at the top of the stairs overlooking the ceremony for a few moments, per Alan’s suggestion, to simply take it all it. I love that- what’s the rush. Soak it up and get your wits about you and the significance of this moment. Meanwhile, cute little ring boys, Nolan and Oliver had just stolen the show and had everyone laughing.
