Lauren and Karl were referred to me by my friend Sharon who was referred to me by my friend Renee. I think Renee found one of my flyers at the winery where she worked at the time. Lauren and Karl seemed to be in the spirit of most of my referrals- happy, loving life and ready for anything. I love that! I had not met them prior to meeting at Baker Beach on a day destined for rain. I said to Lauren in advance of the session, “Are you all still good with the beach if it is raining, or should I look into some covered areas to work in?” Lauren said,” We don’t mind getting wet at all, as long as that is okay with you! We will bring some umbrellas and rainboots 🙂 Who knows, we might get lucky and have a little break in the rain .”
I love that happy go lucky energy and ya know, she was right, we did get a break in the rain- it only rained at the end of the session and by that time, we were all ready to get a little wet. Not living by the beach, but having spent alot of time on this particular one back in the day…I felt like a golden retriever set free, rain or no rain….playing in the surf with Lauren and Karl. They will be married at the Redwood Grove on the campus of UC Berkeley in late July.
