Where does the time go? Jarrett was just 4 years old when I captured this image of him(below) at Emigrant Trail pre school, where my oldest daughter also attended… back in the day. These kids all grew up together and now they’re finishing up high school. The Class of 2020. Wait, it is 2020…..What?
Long ago are the Emigrant Trail days. Jarrett is currently a senior at Virtual Academy and loves baseball- he’s been playing since he was 5 years old. Currently he’s a lefty pitcher for the Varsity EDHS team and is “cool, calm and collected” on the mound, according to mom, Sommer who is his “biggest fan”. Water polo was another sport he checked out this year.
Jarrett’s session was a combined session with old friend Drew, someone I’ve also known since 2006. It was great to meet up with these guys thirteen years later and capture photographs of their adult selves. They’ve been friends since they were 5 years old. Honestly, the two of them couldn’t have been any more kind.
I love my combined sessions for friends. It’s a win win and a great and relaxed way to maximize my time. One can be changing(or chilling) while I’m capturing the other, plus I can get some of the two of them too. Drew and Jarrett joked, kept each other honest and even sat in with mom for a few memories. Many thanks Jarrett and Drew for again showing me this year just how cool the Class of 2020 is. And thanks to Sommer (and Christine) for sharing your great kids with me. May 2020 will be here before we know it We’ve got this! #freestyleportraits #classof2020 #virtualacademy #eldoradohighschoolbaseball
