Jake graduates from El Dorado High this spring so it was the perfect time to get out to the lake and capture some photographs of him. As an avid wake boarder, the lake was a natural choice for him. I always joke with my senior male clients that the images we take are “not for you” but for “your mom”, so just be yourself so that she loves them. This tends to take off the pressure off this photo shoot being “all about them” and guys are able to relax into it more easily. Jake is a super sweet guy and was fun to work with. Melissa, his mom tagged along and watched adoringly. It’s such a big milestone for both of them and I even caught a few images of the two of them, which I love to do given the opportunity. To make it a little easier come fall, Jake has decided to stick around home and go to Folsom Lake College where he’ll be able to get a flavor of the type of career that interests him (and enjoy his mom’s great cooking). He currently has a nice job doing photography for a local company website so to have a job, live at home and get to go to school seems the perfect fit for him. Riley(my assistant and one of his classmates) helped out on this one! Congratulations Jake.
