A few years back I photographed Jack’s sister, Grace and made an easy connection with their mom, Pam. Jack is the middle child at the Harrison household and I was honored to get Pam’s request earlier this year to schedule a senior session for him. Jack attends Union Mine and will graduate this May. He’s passionate about civil rights and likes to discuss history, politics and current events. I turned both of them onto Heather Cox Richardson, a historian, professor and writer. I thought they too might enjoy her current news digest and historical insights. Jack also enjoys music and old vinyl (is that redundant?), YouTube and sports a bit of covid-hair…or maybe a grunge look. Whatever it is, it suits him well.
Pam warned me that he may not enjoy having his photograph made but after a bit we all got into the groove. Pam and I chatted a bit allowing Jack to not have all the attention on him which eased us into the session. I love it when that natural smile(and you know just when it happens) and personality to match, comes shining through. I hope you have a great rest of your senior year, Jack and that all goes as planned for the Class of 2021. Best to you and congratulations.
