and what better time to take some time to capture this exciting time in life.
I’ve known Chase’s mom, Jen for a long time now. We used to exercise together “back in the day”. I’m not sure why we don’t any longer because she has always been such a positive and motivating force to be around…really, she even made exercising FUN…hmmm…Ok, another time 🙂
I was so happy when she contacted me to photograph her son Chase, during this time of transition….somewhere between childhood and adulthood. Having an 8th grader myself, I know just how it is. Chase will complete Sierra Ridge Middle School this May and begin El Dorado High School in the fall (well technically, early August is the summer…but that’s another topic completely). It’s the bitter sweet time when your child moves into independence and maturity, looking back less and looking forward more. I even insisted that Jen get in a few frames too. Moms just need to “get in the picture” whenever you can. It all happens so fast. Do it for your kids- do it for your family history!
As a side note-I am running some Winter Solo Session specials for this age group and am eager to make something beautiful happen for you. Shoot me an email or give me a call…let’s do it! Plan to get in a few pics too, Mom.
Ok, some things I learned about Chase during our session. He’s a bit of a goof ball but really, a totally sweet kid. He was kind and respectful, fun, funny, and playful. Chase loves the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Iowa Hawkeyes and he wants to be a Marine. He’s committed to the sport of wrestling and I hear quite talented at it. He practices several times a week and competes all weekend long (amazing mom). He has qualified for the Tournament of Champions and is heading to the state championship next month. Go Chase!!
I enjoyed capturing the relationship between Chase and Jen and was glad that Jen recognized the importance of “getting in the picture.” I’m not sure if one of those images was a hug or a headlock…but it’s love none the less!
Thank you Chase for being so wonderful and engaged in this session- for you, for your mom, and for your family. Good luck at States and at El Dorado High. Your complete gallery will be ready in a couple days….these are my favs.
