Norma Hamlin Park- Orangevale

  • Ok, I sit here in awe that I have been photographing this wonderful family for so many years now…and then just as struck that I can’t exactly remember how many years that it has been. Sigh. (Negar says 13 years- I trust her). I feel like the luckiest person when I get to move through the years with families like the Jamalis’. A very special welcome this year to their newest family member, Charlie, a big ball of curly Labradoodle. As a photographer, it is both the trust in the people you are capturing, and their trust in you, that…

  • Early one morning last week, my trusty assistant (and daughter) Jaz and I headed out to meet Ayumi and her mom, Akemi. A field of green, wet with the morning dew and the moisture of a rainy spring, greeted us as we captured Ayumi in the soft morning light(and a few bugs too). It’s hard to believe that it’s a year ago that I was there at her birth! Sometimes I forget what it was like to have two young children, the constant attention needed, the energy to chase them down and entertain them but sessions like this always remind me. Tiffany and…

  • Alright- it seems I am on a roll these days with cute babies. Or maybe it is just those bright eyed, “the world is my oyster” smiles that captivate my heart and imagination? Whatever it is…keep it coming. I’m having a great time! It has been a few years now capturing the Moreland crew. It’s one of the favorite parts of being a photographer; getting to experience and record these incredible life changing moments and often, if I’m lucky, year after year too. I know them, we’ve worked together many times, We have already built a rapport; at a session, I’m familiar with their…
