After graduation, he plans to continue studying Drama and will be focusing on lighting design which he hopes to have a career in after college. His first choice for schools is Southern Oregon University because he likes Ashland and SOU has a great theatre program.

It’s always an honor when a family asks me to photograph them and even more so when it’s semi-annually over the last two decades. Love the Littles!  Capturing families year after year is the most rewarding part of my job.  So, of course, I had to dig a little to find some photographs of Jack when he was younger. Look at that cute face! I’m sure I have some, somewhere when he was even younger. It’s not just varsity basketball at El Dorado High that keeps this athletic, young lady going- don’t forget water polo and Tae Kwon Do of which she has three different black belts. WOW! Talk about dedication.

Fast forward to 2021- and there I was photographing the graduating Jessica at Sly Park Lake just an hour or so before homecoming began at Union Mine. Right? Why not schedule a session when you’re all dolled up ready to roll?

I was supposed to meet up with Ally sometime during the height of the Caldor Fire in our area but with my two-week mandatory evacuation and Ally’s moms work with the El Dorado Foundation raising and distributing money through the Caldor Fire Fund to people in need, we thought a postponement was in order.

True or false, I was at Jake’s birth? TRUE!!!!! It’s always true. On my recent trip to Chatham Hall to photograph graduation this year, I met up with Jolie and her beloved horse, Beau for a photo session before the graduation festivities began. – You see, Jolie was graduating from high school and her first horse Beau, was going to stay at Chatham Hall for others to learn to ride. A graduation, a real in-person graduation. She has danced all of her life and currently enjoys Irish dance. In addition, Holly has cheered for El Dorado for four years and was the captain of cheer this year. The “captain of cheer”…I like that! She has that type of heart.

What could be more fun than graduating high school and heading to Santa Barbara to continue your studies? Going with your best friend! This spring Ella and Bianca will graduate from El Dorado High School and head to Santa Barbara City College. We got together at the High Sierra Wedding and Iris Gardens in full bloom to capture the two of them in one of my BFF sessions.
