Seniors

  • It was great to get out with Ella and Erika (and mama’s Natalie and Christine) who chose to share a senior session. I love these sessions and especially experiencing how good friends support each other. I’ve known Ella and Erika since they were in kindergarten as they played soccer with my youngest daughter, back in the day. I think my husband was an assistant coach with Erika’s dad. Anyway, it’s amazing that here they are, putting the finishing touches on high school and ready to jump into what is next. Ella is beautiful, with an amazing, bright smile that shines…

  • I recently met the Hough family at Sly Park Lake to celebrate Elizabeth’s graduation from Union Mine High School this past May. Of course, I wanted to make sure we captured the whole family too, as this is a big milestone. Being able to watch your child graduate from High School is an important milestone and even more important to my dear friend, Lindia. Set your goals and make them happen. Move forward in positivity and grace. Have gratitude for each day. These are just a few of the things I have learned from in part from Lindia over the…

  • Collin graduates from Vista del Lago in Folsom this May and then he is headed to Grand Canyon University in Arizona to study Physical Therapy this fall. I photographed his brother Ethan a couple years back who is also at Grand Canyon U. Collin played soccer for Vista del Lago for all four of his high school years, and quite successfully I might add. His senior team won the San-Joaquin Section Title and Collin was awarded “All-League Player” and also Most Valuable Offensive player for his team. His parents said they had a blast watching him play. I bet- I…

  • Of course, this Cal Poly Environmental Science major (to be) can easily become “one” with these beautiful branches of an old fallen tree in a field of late afternoon light. Kaitlin is as kind as they come and those green eyes and gorgeous whispy locks frame that beautiful smile thAt sets you at ease the moment you meet her. Ember (my assistant) and I had such a great time playing in the late afternoon light with Kaitlin and her mom. Honestly, I think being in the creative flow AND playing in the late afternoon light is my most favorite place…

  • What fun it was connecting with the Roberts family again, this time for Liam’s senior photographs. Back in 2019 I photographed his sister, Phoebe. Liam was just as photogenic and charming. He brought with him a water polo ball and a carefree, super positive attitude. His smile and laugh float comfortably alongside his easy-going personality. While admittedly a little nervous about all the changes next year, I have no doubt that he’ll settle right into college life. He graduates from Ponderosa this May and will attend Austin College in Texas to study computer science. He hopes to compete on their…

  • It’s that time of the year again. Spring is here and with it brings the Class of 2022- this time, it’s Kayla who is excited about graduation. A little nervous at first, to be in front of the camera, like many…but about 20 minutes in we had our rhythm dialed in and I saw the moment she started relaxing and having fun with it. Kayla’s such a natural beauty with a kind, sweet and gentle personality. At Pondo she plays soccer and rugby and loves to spend time with her friends. Next year she plans to attend GSU (Grand Canyon…

  • So far, Ember and I have been out for two senior sessions….one of the perks I imagine of having a mom who is a photographer. The first session was in downtown Sac with her good friend Fiona and then we went out again to Sly Park Lake while I was testing out my new camera, a Z6ii, mirrorless. The next session I promised her is with her famous and spoiled cat, Trouble…so stay tuned. It’s sure to be a quick one. I can’t believe my youngest is now a high school senior and graduating this May from CUP in Placerville.…
