Seniors

  • Brianna is going to be a biology major at Northern Arizona State this fall. She graduates from El Dorado High in a few short weeks. I love the late afternoon light at High Hill so we started off there. Brianna was fun and playful with the camera right off the bat. And trust me, the camera loves Brianna! After a few locations around High Hill we took off to another Camino location looking for “some field” also in the late afternoon sun. White dress, beautiful girl, glowing field…I love my job! Congratulations Briana on your upcoming graduation! Click here for…

  • It was such a pretty day at High Hill Ranch in Camino for a shoot! Kayla & her mother arrived and Kayla said she had a hard time deciding what to wear. I asked if she brought other options to choose from… and she did… she brought plenty – so many outfits that she and her mom were joking about considering a short trip after the shoot given the size of the suitcase! She also brought a volley ball & her snowboard- which I love adding into senior photographs! High Hill had great, great  light that day. Kayla’s mom even…

  • Kalene is Graduating! Kalene was so excited for her senior shoot and so were Cassie and I… because Kalene is my other assistant when Cassie is unavailable ! It was really fun & easy to work with someone who not only is so beautiful but that also knew the flow of a shoot and knew us well too. Kalene wanted to go to the Consumnes river for her session, and we found a bunch of great spots including a cool bridge. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation Kalene! Here is your slide show!

  • Ah yes Sierra at Tahoe…Days like this, you sit back, take a deep breath of fresh air and exclaim, “I love my job”! I can usually do these Sierra shoots without an assistant, mostly because the blanket of snow is an amazingly efficient photographic reflector. This time however, my husband Jeff joined us to help carry my gear- my own personal(and cute) sherpa! (I think even HE loved my job that day :))  Late February I injured my shoulder in a ski accident and have been rehabilitating it ever since. I thought it was smart not to totally push it…

  • Meet Hailey- She is graduating from El Dorado High this spring. When I suggested the river as a backdrop for her senior photos, she said “perfect”- I knew I would like her! Shooting with seniors is alot of fun for me- they are so open and willing to experiment and Hailey was no exception. As an artist, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t- but it is in the finding out that makes it all worth it. At one point I asked Hailey as I was working composing a shot, “What are you thinking about?” and in a perfect high…

  • Finn’s mom called me after seeing the Jones’ photographs over at Lava Cap. Her son, Finn would graduate this year and she wanted to also get a few with her older son Taven in them before he left for school again in Montana. When I arrived at Lava Cap for the shoot, Finn was wearing a Grateful Dead shirt and was very surprised that I knew the song that his shirt promoted, “Till the Morning Comes”. I told him that I had been to something like 120 Dead shows, back in the day. I knew we were going to have…

  • Andrew was celebrating his 18th birthday, his Ponderosa High School graduation AND his Eagle Scout Court of Honor! The ceremony was held at Foothills United Methodist Church, in Cameron Park. Andrew Rosio has been in boy scouts for 12 years and now that he is graduated he will continue on to be an Adult Leader for his troop 550. With months and months of planning from Andrews mother Laura the day went smoothly with out a hitch! It was quite a new experience for me and it was fun shooting this event. Congratulations Andrew! • Andrew got in touch with me because he and Travis are friends and I photographed Travis’ senior photos at the end of  last year. He wanted to me to shoot around his home since he has lived there all his life and wanted to remember it in his photographs. Andrew is a senior graduating from El Dorado High School, Class of 2009. He plays tennis and is really good at playing piano. He’s a fun guy and loves to laugh! Best of luck to you Andrew next year and in the coming years! View your slideshow here.

  • This is Nick Seid – a senior graduating from El Dorado High School 2009 . He has been busy visiting potential schools mostly up and down the Pacific Coast. He wants to major in Theater or maybe journalism. Right now Nick is actually the lead in an upcoming spring play drama “MacBeth” put on by El Dorado High School – for times and scheduling go to this link: MacBeth Info. Since Nick is an actor it made it easy for him to pose and look great naturally for the camera! He was a lot of fun to work with.
