  • These images were made just three days after Baby Graydon’s birth which I had the honor of attending and photographing. New, newborn photography is so precious. New parents are so priceless. I remember the adventure and it’s fun to witness through the eyes of a rested mom(more rested anyway). I’m getting to shoot so many babies and families these days- I guess that’s what happens when many of your clients are from weddings. Tom and Bethany are gems as I imagine their new son Graydon will be too- he already is… This one cracks me up! I love this one,…

  • Much love and congratulations to some of my favorite wedding clients, John and Elisha on the birth of their new daughter, Teagan. After photographing their awesome Fausel Ranch wedding a couple years ago, I hooked up with them again at Alex and Matt’s Fausel Ranch wedding this past summer. Both John and Lish were in the wedding party and Lish was due any day- in fact, I think it was only a week after the wedding that she gave birth! It’s always an honor to get the call for baby and family photographs from past clients. It’s a part of…

  • Thanks to the Stewart family for being in touch to let me know that they were going to be in town and wanted to have some new photographs since the birth of their daughter. We headed up country this time to Alder Creek since Coloma was so stinking hot. Amazingly enough, these river folk (with a son named River, even) had not ever been to that spot and have added it to their repertoire of river cool down locations. Be sure to scroll to the bottom to see what the Stewart family looked like in 2007. Peace you all and…

  • I’ve known Tom and Bethany since 2008 when we got together to do their pre wedding engagement session. We’ve been friends since and I was so happy to receive the call once Bethany’s pregnancy was official, that they wanted me to join them for the birth. Baby Graydon wasn’t expected to arrive until the end of August and as I tell my clients, I cannot schedule births in just the way they can’t schedule births. If I can be there I will be there. And it’s always such a joy to get the call that it is happening and that…

  • I had another great evening at Sly Park lake enjoying the wonderful light during an engagement session with Bill and Stephanie. They have been together for four years and are counting down the days/minutes to their all-day celebration at Stephanie’s parents home in Placerville. Bill and Stephanie are fun and fun with each other. Stephanie is super easy going and a natural beauty. When Bill is not helping to plan the wedding(ie construction at the Cutter home) he is out on the river on his jet ski. He has invited me to join him and his friends, to photograph them…

  • I woke up for a sunrise shoot for Amy and Ryan. Just sayin’. If you know me, this is rare. I am a night owl. I shoot the late afternoon light as much as I can. Since Amy and Ryan are a couple who are game for anything- I was too! This was the final of three Tahoe shoots I had that weekend and a great way to start the day(along with the cup of coffee I started the hike with:)  Since I usually shoot in the evening- it was bizarre to have the light increase as we went along…

  • I’ve known Mark and Barbara for quite some time now- from back in my bay area music days! In fact his good friends brother is married to my best friend’s, husband’s sister. Good luck following that! It was great to get out to their family reunion for a quick one hour, Lake Tahoe dock shoot. Here is the Jeffery Family- a moment in time….Enjoy! Your complete gallery will be up in a few days.

  • I started with Lisa two years ago,  almost to the day. I was a total newbie with only one wedding under my belt at the time. I’ve added 22 weddings, and countless other shoots since then. Over the years we’ve gotten into a kind of a rhythm where half the time we don’t have to say anything to each other…I can just pull out a lens at the exact moment when she turns to me to grab it. A close friendship has developed over the years as well, as it would working in such close quarters all the time. We’ve…

  • I have been so lucky to have had amazing assistants over the years.  Anna, my assistant of two years is beginning a new adventure in South Carolina,  and I am excited to begin my own, new adventure with three wonderful ladies to help me out.  Let me introduce Rita, Amy and Jerri!    I am so excited to have Rita as my new office manager. If you know Rita, you love Rita and know just how kind and helpful (and smart) she is! I’m really looking forward to working with her! Name? Rita Sign? Cancer Dream car?  A Lexus RX…
