Engagements

  • Michelle and Tim are a great couple. As a photographer, it is a great feeling you get when you see someone’s natural connection and ease with each other…AND you get to photograph them! This is them; easy going and open both to each other and to the “good time” wherever it may be. They are the kind who will find it, if it doesn’t find them first. Tim is a structural engineer and Michelle has been working in the commercial real estate industry in some form or another for the past 4 years. They actually met while on the job…

  • You may remember these two from this post last fall at the river. After the shoot they decided they wanted a guest book for their wedding. We decided to head downtown for an urban vibe shoot to compliment the river shoot and to make the guest book even more playful and full of life, like they are. Here’s the fun we had! These two are a great couple and I’m looking forward to their winter wedding in downtown Sacramento.

  • Chip called me a few weeks ago- it seems his old friend and new sweetheart was going to be in town and it was important to him to capture the beginnings of their relationship. Chip and Shannon met at Chico State years ago and were instant friends. Both were involved in other relationships at the time but they confided in each other alot and gave each other advice. Well, they have kept in touch and now are both free explore a deeper friendship. Oh, did I mention that Chip is a photographer and that it is a bit intimidating to…

  • Ok, granted I get a bit nostalgic with these two, well, these three now. Enter Zoe. Tara and Tony purchased a Baby Package when they knew they were expecting. Their package came with three sessions throughout Zoe’s first year and a One Year Brag Book Album. For Zoe, her sessions were at newborn, 4 months(with her grandparents too) and at one year, plus they added a pregnancy session as well. Zoe just celebrated her first year of life and now we get to pick all of the favorites from each of the shoots to create their First Year memory album.…

  • I met Cherise and Chris in Redwood City for their session. Cherise, a hairstylist, and Chris, who works at REI,  are such a fun and vibrant couple. We ended up having a blast at the playground where they got engaged and getting some great images that really show off how fun they are. After the park we decided to grab some of that fantastic evening light over at the shoreline.  I look forward to Cherise and Chris’ wedding at the Laurel Mill Lodge in Los Gatos next month! I love that they are having a camping wedding and that I…

  • Jeff and Danielle are wonderful. They arrived at my doorstep with a thoughtful gift of a bottle of Zin-a shared favorite among us.  We took off to Lake Tahoe for their engagement session and with the help of my new friend Jaime from Rose Street we embarked upon a super cool place to shoot our session. Jeff admitted that the “purple” shirt was little out of his comfort zone but was fine with giving it a shot:)(or two or three…) These two are in love and so comfortable with each other. For me, it is so much fun to shoot…

  • John & Elisha are getting married on July 10, 2010 at the beautiful Fausel Ranch in Placerville, CA. They were referred to me from Gretchen & Matt‘s wedding last August at Fausel last year (apparently they have a groomsman in common). John and Elisha make each other laugh and truly have a zest for enjoying life. John brought along his 13 year old daughter Maddie as well as Trixie, their Pitbull/Boxer mix dog! Trixie and Maddie were fun additions to the shoot not only because of the dogs inate ability to make everyone laugh and feel relaxed but also because…

  • Courtney and Josh are total opposites they say – and it seemed to be a bit true. Courtney is really out going and loves the camera while on the other hand Josh is a bit more reserved and probably couldn’t care less about the camera. 🙂 He was wondering why he was both dressed up AND down at the river…Courtney of course assured him that it was a perfect plan. These two were fun and playful to photograph and clearly in love. Their wedding is in January of 2011. Thanks to Jen and Jeff for the great referral! Here is…

  • The upcoming weather forecast for the date of my shoot with Brielle and Trevor started to look bleak – it said rainy & overcast. I’m good with shooting in the rain-it can be fun, it adds a new element to work with, plus the almighty “umbrella prop”- so romantic!  Many brides would want to reschedule,  (having just had their hair and make up done) and I understand that, and would be fine with that,  but not Brielle and Trevor, they were up for “whatever the weather brings us on that day” ! I was so pleased  … it was going…
