  • I love these two (well 4, maybe 5, I guess) and am grateful for our annual sessions. I met up with Madison, Hailey, Willy and Wildfire…oh, and Ace, Madison’s steer, last week at their place. We planned for a mini session which for me is about 30 minutes. We rescheduled a few times due to the weather which I am always happy to do. Look at them, they are so grown up now! Look at how cute they are here: https://www.lisarichmondphotography.com/blog/madison-hailey-2-horses-and-a-monkey/ Growing like weeds. Happy Holidays to you all and thank you- enjoy your photographs. • I met up with Rebecca, James and seven-year-old, Briar this fall at my favorite Apple Hill fall-color spot. Oh those brilliant colors did not disappoint! I look forward to them every year. We played around in the leaves, and collected firewood:) I ran around with Briar and captured him in all his explorations of new ground! His parents are both outdoor, nature enthusiasts, personally and professionally and it is clear they have instilled that curiosity in Briar. Thanks to Rebecca and James for asking me to capture your family and to the Skalos family for the introduction.

  • Isn’t she just the cutest? I met up with this wonderful Sacramento family at the Charles C Jensen Botanical Gardens in Carmichael. Sarah was celebrating her first birthday and her parents, wanted to capture this milestone. She is clearly adored and her smile melted my heart. Thank you, for a great morning- your complete gallery will be ready soon.

  • I first met the Bryant family when they moved to town earlier this year from Carmichael. Jaxon ruled the roost as most curious toddlers do- often preferring searching for rocks and other miscellaneous items as compared to those pesky photos! But alas- enter some “to die for” sunset light on the lake and trees, and some mom and dad playtime and we were able to capture some gorgeous photos of the whole family too! That cute little bow tie….. I’m looking forward to Jaxon’s birthday session next month!

  • “And we are starting a new life” was the title of the first photo session blog post that I did with the Skalos family. It’s also the lyric to a great Van Morrison song. At that time the Skalos family were new to Pollock Pines and wanted to document their family. Claire (bear) was a toddler and Ava was a big bump in Shannon’s belly (see the log of posts at the bottom of this one). That was in March of 2022. Over the next 2.5 years, I captured not only Ava’s first year but also their growing family. This…

  • “2 months down until forever, can’t wait!” Michelle wrote this back in 2011 while responding to their wedding post on my blog. They celebrated their wedding day at the beautiful Fausel Ranch. Over the years we’ve had many sessions-pregnancy, newborn, kids, first year, growing family…you name it. Last summer we met up at Fausel Ranch for an anniversary celebration for Deanna and David who own the Ranch as well as anyone who got married at the Ranch. It was great to see them as well as so many other couples I have photographed there over the years. We talked about…

  • Four generations of the Johnson Family gathered in Sacramento this past Easter weekend. We met up at Charles C. Jensen Botanical Gardens in Fair Oaks to capture some photographs of them all together since it had been a while. Let’s just say with five kids five and under, we all had our hands full but I think we got some great shots. Kudos to Brittany for organizing this photo session as it can be hard to add more to your plate when you have a young family. More to come from this one but here are some of my favorites.…

  • Curious little one-year-old Jaxon, with the cute, energetic smile spent some time with me in one of my favorite locations cruising around like a pro in the forest with mom and dad, Frances and Bobby who just moved to the area from Carmicheal. Jaxon even learned the word “tree” (‘twee”) as he held a branch from a local species backlit in the sun. Also joining in on the fun was Great Grandma Alice who had been staying with them for several months but would be moving across the country soon.  It was the perfect time to capture some memories. Welcome…
