Well, I got to meet cute lil’ Texas for the first time as he entered this world. Seriously.
I think this was smart as your photographer is with you all day long at your wedding and it’s important that a couple not only likes you but that they they love your work. Meg and Brandon knew that you don’t get to do important milestones like weddings, nor the photography, over again.
While Ashley and Adam are getting ready to welcome their second son, Braxton is getting ready too- to be a big brother! Come Thanksgiving time the Wells family will be four strong and Braxton, no longer the baby. It all goes by so quick. I loved getting to make these photographs for Ashley and her family out in the late afternoon sunshine as the last time I photographed them was when Braxton was in her belly. And Braxton ….oh and Braxton, I fell in love with Braxton….those eyes, his sweet and playful personality, his cute expressions….as you’ll see from ALL…
Over the years I have had the distinct honor of being trusted to photograph numerous births, many of which are with previous wedding clients. While Gia and Jeff are not previous wedding clients, they could have easily been as our connection upon arrival at the hospital was almost immediate. Perhaps that’s the “match making” prowess of my dear friend and client many times over, Tom who knew us all well enough to know we’d hit it off, and most importantly that his dear friends and coworkers, Gia and Jeff would be completely comfortable with me capturing this very special and…
Alot happens in a year. Jaz and I met up with Elizabeth and Greg at Sand Harbor on their one year anniversary. They got married at Edgewood just a year prior and were celebrating in Tahoe with their first baby, Hudson to arrive in just a couple months. It was a sweet session as we chased around the light and Elizabeth was a trooper! We laughed as Greg “parkoured” around the rocks determining if there was a safe way for Elizabeth to get there or not. Look at his face, he is enamored with his bride and soon to be…
Sierra will be joining this landscape in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains any day now…in fact I just heard that mama, Allyson is on bed rest in order to keep their little one cooking for just a while longer. A few months ago, Allyson posted that she was looking to have some “real” maternity photographs captured during this important experience in her life but that their funds were limited. I instinctively reached out to her because I wanted to help her and it just felt like this was something I could do for her. With two kids away at school,…
Little Kinsley came into this world very quickly upon approaching the hospital a couple days before her due date. In fact, it was not even the hospital she was supposed to be born at. There are always great birth stories. Healthy, happy and now cared for on the outside by an adoring mom and dad, Kinsley gets to grow up in a beautiful home, full of love. Jenn and Keith invited me into their Shingle Springs home in order to capture some of these precious newborn moments of their family. You never get this time back again and I love…

Casey is one! And adorable and adored by her parents, Katrina and Joe, plus older siblings, Jordan and Shayla. The family purchased my baby package to document Casey’s first year, beginning with a maternity session, and this was their last session before I put together their one year memory album. It seems almost impossible that it was a year ago that I arrived 5 minutes late to photograph Casey’s birth. One minute Katrina was 4cms dilated and then the next Casey was already with us. I couldn’t believe how quickly she zoomed into the world and that I had missed…
