This is one of those posts that is going to elicit a chorus of “Awwww!” from everyone who visits it. The rosebud lips, the chubby arms, the strand of pearls, the HUGE smile… How can you not swoon? Katrina and Joe were married recently at the beautiful Apple Mountain Golf Resort  in Camino, CA and on one of the hottest days of the year so far; when the temperatures hit 106 in the foothills, you know you’re in the middle of a heat-wave! We began our day getting ready at the Cary Hotel on Main Street in Placerville, where it was fun (and cool… literally) to incorporate some indoor shots of downtown and the historic hotel. I had fun with Bill and Stephanie from the moment I met them. Photographing them is like a playful jam in which the banter back and forth becomes part of the capture-freestyle. Their gorgeous wedding was set in Stephanie’s parents’ backyard and thanks to Bill and his “now” father in law who put in so many hours adding koi ponds, pavers and landscaping to prepare for the big day. I have been so lucky to have had amazing assistants over the years.  Anna, my assistant of two years is beginning a new adventure in South Carolina,  and I am excited to begin my own, new adventure with three wonderful ladies to help me out.  Let me introduce Rita, Amy and Jerri!    I am so excited to have Rita as my new office manager. I’ve known Ashley for at least a good 8 years and it is truly amazing to see these kids grow up right before your own eyes. Being the individual that she is, Ashley introduced me to a new location for her photographs. She loved it and was comfortable there. For me, I love discovering new spots…the adventure of new spots!
