I’ve literally been photographing Graydon since he was born. This year’s session was mostly about play and action as that is what this eight year old, ALL BOY is about. But don’t let my ALL BOY declaration fool you because the relationship he has with his dad, Tom is super loving and super sweet- there is so much present love between them. I enjoy getting to spend time with these two each year. For the future, Graydon looks forward to everyone getting to the other side of COVID 19 so that he can be playing soccer again on a team…

I had a chance to meet the Kenoyer Family on a most glorious and sunny day in Apple Hill. Mary and Jason set the kids free in Larsen’s Apple Barn Park and off they went; running, playing and goofing around like kids do, sometimes with shoes and sometimes without. Fall in love with Paisley. I did. Was it those luscious red locks? Those vibrant hazel eyes? Those cute dimples framing that meandering tongue? Was it the way that little cuteness warmed up to me so quickly? I don’t know but there was something about adorable Paisley, celebrating her first birthday in Apple Hill, in that lovely autumn light that just made my day. I’m still smiling. Well, actually 3 and a 1/2.  But who’s counting?  I’ll photograph this lively little girl with the 100 watt smile at any age! Audrey is the sweet daughter of Erin and Brett, whose wedding I photographed in 2012. Following families through the most important milestones of their lives is the number one reason I love being a photographer (that, and creating beautiful art with amazing people!).  In fact, I have had the good fortune of documenting Erin’s extended family for several years, having photographed sister Courtney’s wedding in 2011, and now looking forward to photographing her other sister Kristen’s wedding this fall.  It’s always a pleasure…

It’s no secret that fall in the Placerville mountains is breathtaking.  No wonder Megan and Brandon chose a crisp November afternoon for their engagement session!  I got acquainted with these two when they booked their wedding for Wedgewood David Girard Vineyards.  Sunflower Field, a sister company, is privileged to be a preferred vendor for this gorgeous wine country venue, and even more flattered that Megan and Brandon chose us to document their special day.  Megan said they really connected with the emotion in our work, and if their engagement session is any indication, their wedding will definitely have all the feels. 🙂 Self-professed…

Wow!  Hard to believe that Keegan is already graduating from El Dorado High School.  It seems like just yesterday he was 5 years old and we were having our very first photography session with his sister Caitlin.  It really has been that long!  Following clients through the many stages of their lives is what makes my job so rewarding and FUN, and I am so happy that I got the opportunity to chronicle this latest rite of passage for Keegan. Last week I met up with Little Miss Madelyn and her mom, Michelle at Larsen’s Apple Barn Park (thank you Lynn) for some photographs in the beautiful morning light to capture this big, happy ball of personality. What a love! I’ve been photographing Michelle and Tim since their engagement and am always happy to get to spend some time with their family. Before you know it, a year will have passed and Little Madelyn will be celebrating her first birthday. Crazy…it does go that fast. 

After about two weeks of gorgeous spring weather here in the mountains we awoke to Nyron’s first birthday session and rain in the forecast just like Kailey’s maternity session. Since it was his actual birthday, we decided to not let a little rain get in our way(just like when he was in Mom’s tummy) and all met to capture the smiles of this growing baby resembling more today, “a little boy”.  It does go by so fast. Congratulations to El Dorado High school  senior, Jakob, who I photographed at Larsen’s Apple Barn in Camino recently. Senior year. The big finale. Jakob is crazy about soccer (as you can see from his images) and he plays for Ethos Academy, which is an affiliate team for the San Jose Earthquakes.  You could see him really come alive as he practiced with the soccer ball. Mom, Andi, is an old friend of mine(and a fabulous, sought after Real Estate agent). The Wagners used to live up here locally and I photographed their family a few years back. As always, it’s crazy…
