Emma and Marcus, born on the same date, and graduating from Ponderosa High School on the same date too! What a treat to not only get to capture the personalities of each of these dynamic, personable and intelligent kids but also their personalities and connection, together, as bother and sister, as twins. They have a lovely nurturing relationship and my camera had a great time and I did too…and we all enjoyed the gorgeous evening light down by the river.   After capturing baby Nyron at birth and again shortly after he arrived home, it was wonderful to catch-up with him and his wonderful mom and dad, Kailey and Matt, in Coloma recently. This was one of those weddings that left nobody with a dry eye, thanks in no small part to Jen and Dave’s long-time friends, Matt and Steve, who led the ceremony with uncommon warmth and compassion. I feel fortunate to get to work with many of the same families year after year. I believe it has been about 8 or 9 consecutive years now with the Anderson family. This year we mixed it up a little with formal attire against the historic Coloma background. I love the grey attire, the bright green grass against the old rock walls. Karen and Erin met while working in Northern California as Archeologists and the rest is history.  The two are looking forward to their August wedding at the High Sierra Iris and Wedding Gardens in Camino. Randi and Austin are a fun couple to work with. I am grateful to our mutual friend Melinda for introducing us. Naturals in front of the camera with big bright smiles and personalities, they were even brave enough to hop up on the ledge of the bridge for me! I was so excited to get the text from Tony and Tara while I was on vacation that little Wyatt had arrived. I’ve worked with Tony and Tara several times over the years, starting with their engagement and wedding, then with their first pregnancy and year of life with daughter Zoe, and now their newest little one! Wyatt was so calm and peaceful the entire shoot, he seemed happy to just go along with whatever everyone else was doing.
