My assistant and I arrived early on Sunday morning to Ironstone Vineyards. We arrived so early we saw the sun rise to show off the beautiful surroundings of Ironstone. (note: HWY 49 is much faster while everyone is still asleep!) We met Amber at 8 o’clock and she couldn’t wipe the smile off her face. Everyone was up and going – ready for the big day. Amber and her bridesmaids started to get ready, so I popped in the next room over to see Brad. He was busy getting himself dressed and ready to marry his girl that he has been with since high school. Ironstone has so many locations to use for both weddings and for photography. I was joking with them about doing this again next week so I could use my 18 other ideas. Celeste was the coordinator for Ironstone and drove us all around in the golf cart over their large property.
At the end of the ceremony Brad and Amber had Chad Stalzer (Chad Stalzer Productions), the DJ play a wedding recessional that was completely out of tune. They chose to play it because it made Amber break down in laughter when she heard it the week before(diffusing stress with laughter is a good thing). I usually sort of tune out sound during a ceremony, not purposefully, it just happens. My ears tend to open up to hear very meaningful ceremonies and vows, well and, “Lisa ! You are about to back up into a pond”- the important things. On this occasion, when the “pitchless” recessional started, I cocked my head, and skrinkled my brow (yes, Brad, you may add “skrinkle” to your dictionary). It was hilarious, especially as all the guests looked at my friend Chad wondering WHAT he had done! I imagine Chad “skrinkled” his brow a bit too!
