At the end of September I had the opportunity to take a workshop from David Beckstead locally in the Sacramento area. Where I also enjoy workshops that get your mind flowing with new business ideas, this was not what I went into this one for. David is a master in the art of composition and I was looking forward to working with him and letting my creative juices flow artistically. Caroline and Dan of Tinywater hosted the workshop and were awesome to finally meet too. Actually, everyone in the workshop was fun to learn from and trade ideas with. David’s workshop was fantastic and I was so appreciative of his positive energy, his “hands on” presence through the whole workshop and getting the opportunity to experience first hand, his joy of photography, art and composition. Clearly, he really enjoys sharing and teaching. I love getting a chance to watch others shoot and he was right there with the rest of us laying on the Sacramento sidewalk! Glad to share with you all! David can turn almost anything into a viable composition and really opened up my eyes about how to utilize what is put in front of me in the best way. Thanks for all you gave and taught and especially for encouraging me to re-evaluate my safe zone(s).
